I think Slash likes RATM so maybe Costanzo could be alright. If they are doing hard rock maybe Brendan OBrien would be good. Evil Empire meets Rock or Bust. Evil Bust.

Damn that was close. So out of the rough mixes of CD 1 the two unreleased songs rule. Overall CD II looks like a classic.

Chi dem here is stil a great song but the version is not full potential outta your...er so I have to pick Atlas, although Perhaps is powerful. I’m not picking Atlas it’s the greatest GNR song of all time. How Chi dem is here needs investigation.

It’s a little like VR or Izzy solo, if you listen to Buckethead albums here and there you think Axl could sing on this. That’s the prob with Slash he’s just a guitarist, Axl can work with anyone it seems. Obviously Slash is the best fit to deliver GNR product but the songs mostly come from Axl and Izzy in the past. What I really want to hear is Bucket playing Izzy solo songs with Axl singing. Bucket solo on that Izzy song Bomb with Axl singing.

Chi dem is almost my favorite CD song, like a default listen. But in no way should it be in the last 3 here. It’s more like people hated fancy ballads more than a failed rocker. But these are the singles from the CD era.

That’s why I thought some of the Bucket stuff could be fake but his solo stuff is Ike that isn’t it, backwards guitars and noises into speed metal and pop references ?
I’m more sure the Axl vocal songs are for real fo sho.
Like a Prayer is one of my favorite pop albums. And actually realized the Jungle intro is very much like the Like a Prayer intro. It must be a guitar tuning thing.

Maddy is one of my favourite tracks imo.
The interesting thing if Perhaps wins this, is it's a track that was never mentioned. Possibly abbadoned almost 20 years ago. Never rumored and not played to the press for preview.
If it wins best track, it's quite ironic.
These leaks are like reading Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, you’re always referring back to the The Shining while reading Shining 2. There’s a lot Redrum moments.

I think maybe they only wanted to use 1 May track at a time, or even this is a great version but bumping it up production wise didn’t work so it was never as finished or Thal’d as Catcher or Atlas. Ron did add a solo to Atlas.
It is strange Perhaps wasn’t mentioned as it has a catchy warm piano part. State of Grace is like the Stones meets NIN, IRS 2. Actually shows off Axl’s vocal range pretty well.
It must be a combo of what worked with Ron and a balance of tracks. Bucket sorted ITW and Sorry but Ron has the difficult job of getting Catcher and Atlas on board when they were kind of fine in another form.
