Watched it late last night. I enjoyed it and thought it was great to set up what's going down this season. Some things could of been trimmed down abit and could of been fully described in the Season 5 finale to be honest. Basically just to reduce padding things out. The Carter prick and a few other details shouldn't of had that much focus if they were just going to be in one episode with one small story piece. The Ricktatorship is back, baby!

Either The Smile Sessions route for the CD2 vault material or doing A Different Kind of Truth with original members Slash, Duff, Izzy and such are the options that make sense right now. Again...if Steven wants to ever tour or record with these guys, he needs to keep his mouth shut.

I know. Him and Axl were a perfect match in many ways.
Agreed.

One of my favorite Buckethead solos at 2.43.
Very nice. The people who say Bucket has no soul in his playing can fuck off.

Who is stoked for Sunday?!
I ordered the 3rd compendium of the comic which should cover the next couple seasons
I'm excited to watch it sometime Sunday night when I get back from a party.

I need to start watching more of rhe talking dead....the episodes I've seen are fun
I thought the comment about being related to Rick was a kind of joke...ya never know tho
I heard originally that fear would take over for two and that two may switch to a pay type of show. Just a rumor
Well AMC was having financial troubles as a network for about almost a year awhile back. So it makes since they were thinking of an alternative plan if problems kept coming up. Also the legal matters with the show's original developer, "Frank Darabount" caused them trouble. Alot of it was the network's fault and Darabount's ego. I think Darabount wanted a more movie budget, have more control of the script writing, and stir away from the comics even further with new concepts. Which fans and Robert Kirkman weren't really happy with. That's why Season 2 was kind of a mess due to getting a new show-runner to finish the rest of the Season's run at the last minute.
As for any of the Fear characters being related in some sort of way to the original group, I wouldn't deny it being a possibility. TWD did have some short web series taking place within different areas that had one character related to either being Lori's cousin or brother and being at Rick's induction into the police department from a past photo he re-discovers. Right now the plan is that the two shows will be taking place at different times since Rick hasn't woken up yet from the coma; but in a couple years if Fear is still going on as well as the main show (Which is a guarantee due to ratings, merchandise, and the fan base), who is left in the Fear cast will meet up with Rick and the survivors in Alexandria. It also depends on when Neagan shows up in the main show and what big story line Kirkman wants to do with the comics next. Also any ideas that the network and Scott Gimple have in mind to keep things fresh.

Way too slow, it's like the worst episodes of the Walking Dead's filler and this is supposed to start the show? I'll watch the rest out of habit, but not too enthused. It's a chore, they literally could have done the first 3 episodes in 1.
In all honestly I don't think this would have been too successful if it wasn't associated with the Walking Dead.
This is kinda my feelingson now. This past weeks episode I got through 20 minutes and bailed on it. It doesn't have "it" much like another new show The Bastard Executioner.
I hear that's a really good show so far. I've had alot of problems with FX recently. Especially with their treatment of AHS going forward and how glam and showboat it is now. The bigger problem with "Fear" is that there is no need to build up the beginning because the audience as well as fans going back to the comics already know what's going to go down. What they should show is a small unit of characters and have them interact with a world still at large; but slowly deteriorating. The problem is they keep tackling on all these random side plots with characters I could give less of a shit about and add one note characters. I like the parent characters cause they are played by good characters; but that's about it. Everything else feels too convient and you just lose interest ya know.

Is this show worth watching? Someone on FB told me 'It won't have a 2nd season'?! I wasn't sure if she meant its not good enough to have a 2nd season, or if its intentionally written & the subject line was to only be a 1 season show?
Any thoughts? I don't have cable so I buy good shows (ie ONLY TWD) thru MGO for about $40/season. Wondering if FTWD is worth the $ & time?
From what I heard it can be somewhat interesting. I've seen the first two episodes; but haven't watched the others. I just find the teenage characters so bland or doing stupid shit that makes them unlikable. They need to change or get bit. Yes they've announced a 2nd season on AMC.
