I agree. The thing was Freddie had a vocal range that was as good in the studio as it was live! He took great care of it and turned into a well oiled machine and gave everyone a show to remember. Even if you listen to the song Mr. Bad Guy from his solo record, you could see what more he was capable of.

I paid WAY too much for that Syd box as it's got 2 songs but I got caught up in the excitement at a record store one day and bought it lol.
If you're looking for a good Syd comp on wax for a GREAT price, look here;

Limited to 500, $15 and it's got a lot of songs many people love by Syd. If it weren't for saving for RSD this coming Saturday, I'd grab it in a heartbeat.
Thanks man! I spent several hours one day trying to look for one. This may suit my needs after all. : D

elevendayempire wrote:He was incredible, wasn't he? Unbelievable vocal range, stage presence, piano skills and songwriting ability. The whole package.
Pretty much the only person who rivals him is Axl on a good day, but Axl's vocals are nowhere near as versatile as Freddie's.
This.
Every time I go to label Axl as "Best Ever" in my mind, I hear "De DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA DOE!" in my head
In my opinion, Freddie is a league of his own when it comes to being both a singer, performer, and a frontman!

That would be a really cool idea. That's why they should release a compilation of session work from the other albums that were meant to make up a CD trilogy for Guns. Even if the stuff is finished or not. You can hear some instrumental pieces involving synths, strictly piano or drums, or orchestral demos. Then have working songs with some vocals, guitars, and all that.

yeah..true! This is something that would be totally Adler. xD Next they are going to have Stephanie Seymour played by Helena Bonham Carter or some shit.

No....just No!!!! Matt please come to your senses man!
It wouldn't work at all. I personally liked The Runaways. Of course it had alot of flaws and missteps.

Without the guy, the music of today wouldn't have broken through any barriers to reach people. RIP

Thanks Russ! : D I'll make sure to post some pics if they come out good in this forum section. It's about a 5 hour trip from where I am in Maryland and so I will be leaving Saturday morning sometime around 9am. So when we get there we will getting some lunch and dinner on the way. Going to eat a big meal and might get myself a concert t-shirt when I get to the venue. Also bringing some VH CDs; so If I spot Dave, Eddie or one of the guys before the show, i'll see if they can sign them...but that's a big "If".
Detroit does sound like a cool trip if I get to meet up with you and a few of the cool guys from this forum. I don't know if I will have the money then; plus I don't have a ride at the moment. So maybe another time. Thanks for the offer my friend.
During the show I'm going to be singing along to VH tunes, partying, and humming along to some Kool songs too.
Our original third guy for the trip had to bail because of studying for upcoming tests, so it took awhile to find another person. But..yeah..I'll let you and the others know about the awesome experience when I get back Sunday afternoon.
