I think people are pissed because its like we waited all this time for THIS?
U know what I am saying? we have been the most patient, most loyal fanbase on the planet and to get an album no different than what we heard years ago, to get no tour, no press, no video, no nothing but a band collecting their money and telling us once again to fuck off.
we are treated as if we are "Lucky" Axl allows us to be fans where every other band feel they are lucky that "WE" are fans.
that is the difference. There is only so much disrespect and bullshit a fanbase can take before they have had enough.
It's like axl telling his side of the story and tons of people automatically calling out the old band as being liars............
well............ how many fucking members have left? Whose story holds more water?
Is everyone in the universe lying? I don't think so. Its like axl takes zero culpability in any of this.
CD got fucking OWNED by Contraband. A Cd made in like 6 months, brand new name etc etc, no established brand etc.
it is just embarrassing that we've been on here for a decade only to be stuck with the same old bullshit.
we are negative because we do care. If we didn't care we wouldn't give a shit enough to waste our time on here.
SOMEBODY needs to be honest with Axl and tell him the truth instead of all the yes people who makes him believe what he does is ok.

STFU about that please everyone. Dude sold his album to the highest bidder.................... so he gets no sympathy for it being in "fewer" stores or whatever. He got his money and he no longer cares.

its just weird that the guy who got an MTV crew to pick up up from jail, the guy who made three very extravagant over the top videos is the same guy today who won't release a video or do any press........
People are acting like he has always been this way and that isn't so.
He doesn't want to be asked tough questions in my opinion.

whats the point of even making a fucking video now? The song is already out and having its run. I'd just go ahead and plan for the next single and do a cool video for the ballad.

Certainly, but I am not talking about the old albums, i am talking about this one.
One thing is for sure though, I am definitely not a hater or just someone who bitches to bitch. I have tried with everything in me to listen over and over and over in hopes of something clicking but it just hasn't.
It isn't because the music is "Too Complex" *my favorite excuse* or what have u, I just think it sounds very manufactured, very robotic, very tight and the music just doesn't breathe. too much studio magic etc etc.
sometimes I just want to hear a kick ass guitar solo without 2 billion effects on it.
The VR and GNR thing is perfectly easy to see
VR, dirty bluesy riff rockers could use a bit more focus a la Axl
GNR too many ballads not enough balls which the old band lends
I guess the thing with CD is, it is almost like Axl forgets he is Axl Rose. I don't want Axl to be Elton John or Freddie Mercury or Rob Zombie or Trent Reznor

its my whole who is GNR argument cause for me, VR sound more GNR than GNR.
I guess as fans though, we sometimes care a little too much when in reality it doesn't affect us at all.
I just see so many other artists giving a shit and doing great things with their fame etc and u have Axl who just doesn't do anything.
my other fave band Bon Jovi for instance, top tour of 2008, Jon won the Philanthropy award for all his charity work etc etc
GNR should be a HUGE metallica/Bon Jovi/U2 type band but instead they are more on the level of bands of yester year.
People are really excited that CD was the 33rd best selling album? This is GNR for fuck's sake, being happy going gold is ludicrous.

I'm not sure they make a lot of money though. I was reading in Slash's book how they barely made any money off that entire Metallica co tour due to all the late fees etc they had to pay everynight.
so if they barely made money filling 50k football stadiums, u can imagine how little money they had to make playing to half empty arenas.
