The recording is done and there are no tour plans.

i so want to agree with you on this one....but the realist in me reckons that the album is "done" the same way it was in 2002, 2006 and 2007....and wasn't really handed in to the label...well, not in its final format at least...a few sample copies were sent for comments....but not the final master...

and the most patient person in the gnr saga....Mr Robin himself....has had enough of waiting...

if he decided to do a stint with Cirque du Soleil....or even a solo album....then it would be more comforting...

but NIN is whats making me feel all uncomfortable....

as much as i hate to say this....i think we're in for another very long period of silence, after which we will be introduced to another new band member....whose presence still needs to be felt on the album somehow....so we'll go back into the studio....

i think that next time anything leaks, it won't be just a song or two...released in bits n pieces....i think next time round we're in for a much larger chunk of material....

the frustration currently is at an all time high....and it wont last for too long....

#323 Re: Guns N' Roses » Del James comments on Robins status » 953 weeks ago

perhaps he meant it in the "i couldn't give a shit about Robin" type of way?

#324 Re: Guns N' Roses » Del James comments on Robins status » 953 weeks ago

this could also mean that Del doesn't know.
not necessarily that the whole GNR camp was unaware of it.

perhaps Del has a life outside of GNR, and he simply wasn't updated by them on this development.

not just contracts, but Axl's own reliability has a lot to do with it...if he was a better team player, then maybe these guys would feel more obliged to weather his personal storms....its pretty clear that they're all having none of it anymore....

It's not all Axl's fault all this crap going on. He can't stop Finck leaving or anything

the way we've been treated, i think waiting for santa as opposed to axl might just pay off sooner...

i somehow don't think Axl will be replacing Robin just for the potential tour...

they canceled the SA shows last year because of Tommy being unavailable to play, and he's a bass player, and it was only two shows....and they wouldn't replace him just for that small tour....

then they won't replace Robin either...something smelly is cooking up inside Axl's organisation, and I will bet you that he is sitting all depressed about it now....thinking something along the lines of...
"just when i start to get things right...they do this to me again"....

he's probably got Del and Beta sitting there, holding his hand while he's busy having another meltdown of some sort because of this...

I honestly think that they were as surprised with this as we all are, and that they are currently trading extra long phone calls between lawyers, themselves and Robin, trying to find out wtf is going on, why is it happening...

panic stations at gnr....
and we won't hear anything until they themselves know what has happened, and then they will word it in such a way so as to appear like it was a planned departure/sick leave/something do to all along....

i also think that they were surprised by this.

do you seriously think that Elmir?

no, i don't....just trying to justify it to myself...:headbang:

honestly, there is no reason for anyone to think this is just a band member killing time....NIN is major, and if robin goes, he goes for a while...cd has literally gasped its last breath...and i don't think we'll see it it the near future...roll on 2015 for another AFD tour...

If I was Bucket, and I was considering coming back, this would definitelly change my mind about any progress in the GNR camp....

its a shame...but its the way it is...

If a reunion even looks like it may happen...and CD gets forgotten...i'm outta here...it was nice...but i have wasted enough time and money on these jokers...
