There are reasons I'm not wrong very often when I post things. It's not because I am smarter than everyone else. I'm not really an expert at much of anything because I get bored with things pretty easily. So as a result, I know a little bit about a lot of things.
What I do a good job of though is looking at multiple sides of things. Very little in life is black and white. Even good and evil, right and wrong - these are different based on perspective. So when something (like Covid in this case) catches my interest, I read up on it. That doesn't mean I watch CNN and take it as the bible. I can't stomach their spin any more than the one on Fox.
I do know a journalist though. One that actually does research and shares information pro/con on topics and this has been his hot button for a while (understandably). He doesn't tell people how they should feel. He doesn't tell people what to believe. He just shares information from multiple points of view and allows people to draw their own conclusions.
You'll notice I'm very rarely an early speaker/writer on anything. That's because I know that I don't know enough to have an informed opinion. Even when people have informed opinions, sometimes things change and they end up being wrong. It's a LOT easier to be right when you wait to understand more before voicing an opinion.
From the beginning I have said that we don't know enough to be making the harsh decisions that were made. Here we are roughly 1-2 months later and we STILL don't know. There's no concrete proof that social distancing did anything to the spread of the virus (contrary to a lot of opinion around here). The weather could be as much of a reason for the slowing as social distancing. (Now I know some of you are going to take this as "buzz said it did nothing!!!!!111!!!" - no, read what I said...have mommy and daddy help you with the bigger words if you need it)
Even what we claim to know we don't actually know because all of the numbers have been manipulated so that there will never be clear answers to any of this. It's amazing the lengths people on both sides will go to in order to defend their cause. There's so much misinformation out there.
We know there are more than 33 million in the US on unemployment. We don't know that all of them are Covid related...some companies out there surely used this as an excuse to trim some fat. Let's say 20 million Covid related and 72K dead. Now we know some of those 72K would have died anyway and some of them weren't really Covid cases, but let's ignore that. Was it worth it to hurt 20 million people? If you are one of the 72K, that's easy to answer. If you loved one of the 72K, that's probably easy to answer as long as you weren't one of the 20 million...the answer gets a little more muddy then. I PROMISE you it's a pretty easy answer for the rest of the 20 million...and don't forget that I am being kind with the number 20 million...it is more than that.
You guys need to learn to think less emotionally and more realistically. Very little in life is black and white. It's fair that I am being a dick in talking down to people...there are a couple of you that deserve that, but the rest don't. Doesn't mean the message is wrong.

First mention of the video - I thought I had brought it up earlier in the day when I saw it in the morning, but I can't find it anywhere.
What's the death count in the US? It was 67K...let's say 70K today.
Of those 70K, how many:
are in NY?
are from nursing homes or people over 70?
are from the immuno-compromised?Obviously metropolitan areas are more densely populated and thus higher risk, but almost 30% of the deaths from one state? The good news is the stats say NY deaths peaked 4/10 and they've been declining ever since. Haven't seen US numbers overall...in late April it was still up and down but haven't seen anything more recent than that.
Did anyone see the video about Faucci that's making the rounds? If true, it's pretty damning. Like most things, there's probably at least some truth to it.
First point...I notice nobody answered any of the questions.
Ok, now the video mention. Nowhere did I say "Fauci caught in deceit" or "now we got him" right? Read what I actually said, not what you want to believe I said.
Response to your question about what video:
I'll see if I can find it. The first time I saw it I watched 2 minutes but didn't trust the source...then I saw other more reliable sources posting it. No idea if it's true or not...we'll see.
Then I posted the video only because you asked me to. Again, tell me exactly where I said anything about it being 100% true. I'll wait.
Unlike you, I don't pass judgement on information. I take it in. I read and watch things from many sources, then I make my own decisions. Normally I'd say you should try that, but you can't even interpret what I actually said on the last two pages correctly, so I don't think more sources is going to help you.
Facts bro. Just let it go. You've been completely shot down on this. Try again later.

That Buzz is an anti vaxxer.
See, you think so poorly. My wife is a diabetic. I get a flu vaccine every year for her protection.
Next lie?

I guess you're not aware the Intel Chief is telling Schiff to release them or he will. It's Schiff's call and he's been refusing to release his transcripts since June. But I'm sure you knew that, you do a very good job of staying informed. Now what did a shooting of a man in Georgia have to do with COVID?
Yeah. Death. It's irrelevant right? Let's prove 'my side' was right. That's what really matters in the world.
I haven't been following a whole lot nor have I been posting here much. Aside from inquiring about, then debunking buzz's quack conspiracy youtube video with 180,000 views.
Imma nip this shit in the bud in a second. Don't get impatient.

What? Try again son. You're using your selective reading again...
OK I’ll try to explain it to you on a child’s level. You behaved like a naughty little boy and you kept pounding into everyone in this thread idiotic theories and conspiracies because it’s more important for you to be right than it is for us to deal with reality.
Now if you’re a good boy and admit that you’re wrong I’ll give you a juice cup and a half of an orange.
Except...like usual you're wrong. Sorry boy.

You’ve exposed yourself to be grossly unqualified to have an opinion.
In your dreams son. In your dreams.
Look up immunology and how it works. Don't take my word for it. I've tried and I've tried and I've tried to educate you, but you won't listen. Find any source you trust on immunology and read about it. I promise you that you won't like what you read.
