RIP man! You provided some great humor and music to my parents and I thoroughly enjoyed some of his music over the years too.

I can agree with that. Oh My God is such a great song. Just wish it was played live and some  of the new songs too.

I completely agree. Daryl is the most likeable character on the show. Even with his white trash brother, it was obvious Daryl didn't feel the same way about the world, and Daryl doesn't have the same hatred in his heart that his brother did.

That is very important because it made Daryl a sympathetic, vunerable character. It made him imperfect, but relatable. I've known many like Daryl living in the old Confederacy, like Daryl's rural Georgia background.

Daryl is a survivalist, and without a doubt THE MOST INTELLIGENT and savvy of the entire group (how ironic? The white trash Southerner).

I can only hope that Daryl figures how Shane, or makes his power move before it's too late.

An interesting angle would be like I said, if Daryl suddenly tried to go after Shane AND Rick, and suddenly you've got a triple threat match in the group, rather than just a showdown between Rick & Shane. Daryl seems like the one character that is sick to death of the Rick & Shane dynamic on the show.

My guess if they broke down into factions, Dale, the old woman, the asian kid and his girl would back Daryl. The blonde and the black dude would back Shane. Lori, Carl and the old man back Rick.

There is a strong possibility with that kind of scenario. Daryl made the show interesting during the search of the first part of this season. They made him a strong character. Hopefully the creators of the show use him more with the group dynamic  and the dialogue.

Yeah I was going through alot of the Guns songs lately and I notice how great Axl puts those lyrics together. Sure he has alot help or added assistance in those lyrics either from Izzy, Duff, Slash, Chris, Caram, Tobias, etc etc; but some of songs helped me in a dark place I was in emotionally a few months back. This I Love has some amazing words that touch you emotionally. It's a very melancholy song. With songs like Dead Horse I could totally relate to if somebody pisses me off or some trouble comes my way, I will be down and jaded; but remember that eventually something better will come around the corner. Alot people use Sweet Child for weddings, proposals, and even births too. xD

It's a bit early to say, but I'm calling A Different Kind Of Truth rock album of the year for sure.

I just said this on the way to GN'R on Tuesday. We had Stacey, myself and two others in the car and I turned to the guys in the back and said "Wanna hear the best rock album from this entire year?" then we all rocked the fuck out the Tattoo.

I played Stay Frosty next and that became the toast of the night. They fell so in love with it that every time we ordered my beers through the whole GN'R pre-party, opener, show, etc, when the beers came they guys would lift them to toast and say "Stay Frosty"

Nice dude! Sounds like an awesome time! I've been finding ways to use that saying as well. Chinatown, Y&YB, She's The Woman, Bullethead, Outta Space, Stay Frosty, and Trouble with Never are my favorites! big_smile

Cool I'll look you up, what do you think of it?

I'm not that impressed with the layout, also finding a bit tricky navigating through pages, mainly I cant find my way back to my profile other than right clicking, then back, I cant see how to log out either.

I just wonder if they'll do anything to encourage the folk with free trials to hang around when that expires, theres not much I've seen so far that sells the place to me. Free streams or ones at a good discount might, I enjoyed the one the other day and it was cheap as chips.
Not sure if I'll delve in too much with the forum, until theres new music everythings been said to death, although around the UK tour it might be quite handy to see who's going and meet up with folk.

Anyone else a member?

I think it's okay and it gets the job done especially for a band website. Band websites are usually average. Look at Van Halen's..besides vids and ticket & updated concert info...there is nothing much there. Megadeth's cyber army memberships are ridiculous even though the rest of their website is pretty solid.  I like the look of it captures the current lineup and I like that they are using Tiny chat for their chat service. I'm sure they will add more things in the near future and maybe some new songs. It's a good place to put that kind of content. The forums and blog areas are abit clunky and crammed together; but that's okay I guess. I posted a comment in one of the forums and went pretty well. I'm sure after a few months they can update that crap. Once they get positive feedback and start adding more content for die hard GNR fans and fix charges, then it may turn into something special. If not then they can always use their facebook and twitter profiles for other things.
