Can someone explain to me how it is that Dallas is in last place in the NFC East with an identical record as Philly yet they beat Philly? They don't use points scored as a tiebreaker before head to head do they?
I so hope Portis is out for the Skins next week and Romo, Koiser, Newman and Felix can all return for the Cowboys.

For Madagas(cause I'm pretty sure it's directed at among others, me.)
Maybe there are some out there who want it to fail completely. I've never been one of those people. At least not when it comes to quality music. Good reviews are also awesome. I think it'll be cool if alot of people like this album. If album sales are slow though sure I'll admit I might crack a small smile. As a fan I've said it many times. I feel Axl really pissed on his fans in 2006. Not only did he basically flat out lie to them he showed such distain for them in my opinion. In my world actions have reactions so if album sales are slow yeah that to me shows that people are pissed and would rather not support this. If people aren't supporting it simply based on "where's Slash" than that's lame. It's not a legit reason. You know for me it'd be the same thing if my favorite athlete lied to me, wouldn't sign an autograph, made non stop excuses, blamed everything on his teammates only and told me either be a fan or fuck off. Alot of the respect I had for that athlete would go out the window and you wouldn't see me purchasing things like jerseys or whatever with their name attatched to it. Why should my attitude towards a musician be any different? What would you like me to say? Gee I hope it sells a billion copies? No not really. That's not what I want. I understand why people want to buy the album, and that's great but I'd honestly wish more people who were genuinley pissed off and felt disrespected as fans would have more backbone and not purchase the album or buy tickets to the shows rather than simply jump when Axl says jump. Alot of people on these boards disagree with that opinion but too bad. The world can always use good music though so on that level I really hope it delivers. If it falls flat on it's face sales wise though I won't be too dissapointed.
I won't pull punches or sit behind the veil of my monitor and try and act like I'm someone I'm not. I'm not a troll, I'm not someone who swings from nuts either. I've always commented on things the way I see them in my own opinion. I say "negative" things about the band all the time but I also say "positive" things as well. At this point in time though alot of people seem more interested in pointing out the "negative" comments and who's saying them. Why is that? Honestly people seem threatend by the slightest "negative" comment these days. Almost like they're chinks in the Gn'R armour, releasing some fucked up insecurities people may have about the band.
#3363 Re: Guns N' Roses » Did you buy Chinese Democracy single on Itunes? » 868 weeks ago
Nope I didn't buy it.
On a side note when is the lat time any of you guys heard Chinese Democracy on radio? It's all but dissapeared from the airwaves here. I think I heard it last Tuesday or something. I listen to the radio all day at work so...... What's up with that?

That was a pretty good review. Nice read too. I have a question for alot of you though. If a not so positive review comes out, will it simply be that the person doing the review lacks credibility or any real integrity? I'm getting the sense for any review to be taken seriously it's gonna have to be all out praise for the album. Any knock whatsoever will be shrugged off as an opinion from some dumb fuck who doesn't know shit about music. Please tell me I'm wrong.
I'm very curious to see how this does and hear real people's thoughts not just paid journalists. Hopefully people will feel the same as this guy. Good music is good music so.....

That's wicked. All that guys stuff is awesome.

I'm not tying to discount the success this song is having but let's wait and see how the next single does and how the album actually sells and how long it sells for. This instant success though really cool doesn't mean much if the songs and album dont' sustain themselves over the next 6 months. That's all I'm saying. We all knew this thing would fire outta the gates. It does have a certain band name attatched to it so........
Now we're seeing how people are really feelings about this song. And it's positive. That's great.
I guarantee you when those ballads get out there in mainstream consumptions, those beautiful ladies out there all get ahold of them, it's gonna be even bigger.
See this has got to be the weirdest thing I've heard cause I'm not shitting you guys, other than the first day when a few freinds texted me to say they liked it I havent' heard anyone else since say they like it. It'd be cool to hear what you guys are hearing. I'm just not.

and the same goes for U2 and any other iconic act... Fact is that it is doing well. Better than You Could Be Mine did...last I checked, that was a pretty highly anticipated single with a ton of label support. Right? You also failed to quote my post about PAYOLA and the Azoff/Iovine combo....I do realize that any Gnr single at this point is going to get radio time. The machine will make it happen. Nothing counts on this record until it goes on sale. Buzzy and Bono sittin' in a tree.....I almost think you are the same person.
Chinese Democracy's airplay at this point in time really has nothing to do with the quality of the track though. Good or bad. It's being played alot based on the curiosity factor and the hype. We all knew anything new was gonna get heavy rotation right off the bat. It's whether or not this will still be heard regularly 4 to 6 to 12 months from now. Say what you will about U2 but their last two lead singles(Beautiful Day and Vertigo) off the last two albums are still in regular rotation so yeah U2 gets pushed based off reputation but their singles have staying power on mainstreme radio. Iconic bands don't have their stuff cotinually played regardless of the quality of music.
As for CD charting better than YCBM, well YCBM was hyped alot but look at the mainstreme rock at the time. U2, Metallica, Pearl Jam and Nirvan were just coming out. It was justa different time. Had YCBM been released today instead of CD YCBM would be much more successful. It's a weaker era in mainstreme music and YCBM has a much wider appeal. So it's not like people are saying tehy like CD better then YCBM.
What's funny is you mock Buzzsaw and me for sharing a simliar opinion that conflicts with yours. Nice work. I suppose if I agreed with your opinion on this it'd be you and me sittin in a tree? Or would we be the same person? Not likely. I'd probably just be seeing things in proper perspective right?

they don't debut at number 1.....Texas doesn't understand that this single debuted higher than Nov Rain, You Could Be Mine, etc.....it was only a partial week. People are very ignorant sometimes. Billboard is reporting it because it DID WELL.
No Billboard is reporting it cause it's Guns N' Roses. believe me had it not done well they'd be reporting it just the same. Chinese Democracy is a story. Good or bad it's gonna get press.
Yeah, it's also based on airplay. The question then becomes "why was it played so often?", which is a whole different topic.
So true.
#3369 Re: Guns N' Roses » GUNS N' ROSES' 'Chinese Democracy' Single Best 'Mainstream Rock' Debut » 868 weeks ago
some suicidal people will still try to put on negative spin on this, you watch, either here or on another forum they're out there....waiting...
Not negative but put it in perspective. The quality of rock radio today is far less than it was in 1991. Also saying it's their biggest debut since Don't Cry doesn't say much. How many true radio singles have they put out since Don't Cry. And by true radio singles I mean ones radio would honestly play alot. Let's be honest. After this long anything they put out would get alot of airplay and be given a real chance at debuting high. debute for this album won't mean much. A high debute will be nice but It'll be whether or not it has staying power. Will they even be playing Chinese Democracy 3-5 months from now or the albums release.?
#3370 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R/CD Promotion Materials » 868 weeks ago
That's not the problem. The problem is that it just looks unprofessional that's all.
I think you're wrong. they look professional enough. What are they supposed to look like? the Estranged video? An action flick? A beer commercial. They look the way they likely should look.
