It wouldn't bother me as bad if they just admitted it. But to hear it, nothing has changed and no one is influencing them to censor and do this and that. Just man up and admit it. Hell, no one can blame someone for taking a deal of a lifetime but it is sort of a selling your soul to the devil kind of thing.
Captain Fonz, I don't get where u say I hate the new band. I love the new band, i just hate over zealous Axl lites who think they have to shit on the old band to show their allegiance to the new.
Captain Fonz is the attitude I am talking about. Are u telling me, to be a fan, I have to love and worship every single note, every single thing Axl or GNR do?
Hell no I don't have to. I think CD was a horrible choice for a first single when you have Better and If The World and even Shackler's sitting there. CD has a long ass intro, no hooks, doesn't show off Axl's range or ability.

There is no way in Hell TWAT will be released over Prostitute and This I Love as the ballad single.
I still don't get what everyone else Gets with that song. Its ok but it to me has pretty bad lyrics.......... Axl rhymes all with all like 10 times and it has some really cheesy bad lyrics...........
Prostitute and This I Love are far superior ballads as well as Catcher.

I was involved in a HTGTH spat. I was verbally attacked for no reason, other than the fact that something I said was misinterpreted (which would be nearly impossible to misinterpret). It was pathetic, and Jarmo knew it, but had to defend. I just quit, and have not been back since. What's funny, is I had some good friends there and even fed a few of the insiders some good dope about the industry, etc. and gave them a few contacts. Sucked pretty bad. So, with that said, I love the open forum, although at times, I feel a few of the folks go way overboard with their negativity--which is as far from reality imho, as the crusaders joy is.
For instance, the first post in this thread. I listen to K-Rock almost exclusively, and know a few folks who work there. To say that all 20 callers thrashed the song on the first day it was played is an absolute lie. It was at a minimum 60-40 in favor. Here is the poll online at their website:
Also, u do realize GNR message forum people probably voted 500,000 times right?
I mean, u do realize people can vote however many times they want and GNR have street team people from all message forums who skewer the vote by voting hundreds of times..............
I wish people wouldnt do that so we could get the true reaction.

Read again Bright Eyes, I said every person I HEARD trashed it. I didn't hear one positive thing in about the first 20 calls or so.
Now, once I turned off the radio, maybe the good ones rolled in, but yeah, u say 60-40, but goin by the bias GNR sites, u would think it was 95-5.
I think a lot of people commenting in this thread don't understand or were never apart of the forums for the last half decade or so.
Things aren't like they were which is the problem. If sites were always a certain way, that would be fine and good, but the fact they changed for whatever reasons for me is bullshit.
To be called a troll because you say Slash has just as much right to play GNR songs as Axl is retarded.
I never had a problem with the new band. Like James, I thought the RIR lineup was amazing. Replace Huge with Fortus, and it was an amazing band. I thought they were fabulous on the 2002 tour and Axl was probably the weak link truth be told.
What really started pissing me off, was when Ass Kissing fans, to try and buddy up to the admins and mods, started desecrating the old band and denying them their due.
I heard one dipshit say that Axl even hummed Slash's solos to him or something moronic like that.
All this "Axl is GNR" shit drives me crazy and when people say "Finck" is better than Slash
I mean its hard for me to not get offended and defensive when people say shit like this cause its utterly ridiculous.
That isn't opinion either.....

U list Slash's accomplishments and all time great honors etc to Finck's and it is no comparison.

GNR have changed my life and have meant more to me than I can even put into words. But I call shit like I see it and that makes me more of a fan because a fan's job is to let the artist know when they are fucking up.
I remember when VR put out Contraband and did the 3 cover thing. All I heard was how they were 'Greedy" and There's Slash all about the money, trying to rip off fans with different album covers.
It got rumored GNR were going to have 3 album covers of CD and those same people proclaim it to be the greatest thing in the world and I cant wait to get all 3!!!!!!
That is the exact shit I am talking about.
I've always stated I'd like a reunion but now, I would want one just so these people would have to wipe the egg off their face and we'd get to see how true their convictions are.

I remember years ago we could talk about anything on GNR forums. You were allowed to have an opinion, you could criticize what you thought was bullshit and people would agree to disagree.
I remember being able to discuss leaks and it was a message forum for the intent of discussing ANYTHING about your favorite band good or bad.
Over the last several years, things have taken a huge turn for the worse. GNR Message Forum Admins are selling their fucking souls to GNR management and regulating a blog.
I remember when GNR went on tour and I read 10 straight positive reviews and thought "WOW!" This shit is a success, only to research myself and realize how many negative reviews got deleted.
Same with the release of CD.
I sit that morning and listened to Krock and 20 callers in a row shit all over that song talking about how much they hated it. Got in the car, listened to other radio stations, same thing, over and over and over and over.
I get on the GNR message forums, and judging by them, its a runaway unanimously, universally loved track because the only thing allowed is good reviews.
That is just dishonest and not what message forums and fanbases are about.
Everything in the world needs a checks and balance whether it be Government or entertainment. Without that, you just have chaos.
In music, the fanbase is the checks and balances. With GNR, our voices have been ripped away from us and we are basically now dictated to and told what we can say and what can't be said.
Why has this happened you asked?
Cause GNR Admins got weak. U know what? I can't say I blame them. I mean if you are offered perks by GNR management and can hang backstage and go to shows and get emails an be apart of their organization, that would be a hell of an opportunity to turn down.
But for what price though? How much integrity are you willing to give up for this to be a lap dog yes man?
This is why so many sites have now went the way of HTGTH. They hear these rumors of Jarmo hanging with the band and going all over the place and they think that if they do the same, they will get the same perks.
So the GNR Community has become the Foxnews of GNR. puppets to spread only what GNR want you to know and I think its bullshit and against everything Rock N' Roll is suppose to be.
What's even worse is, u now have a huge huge bunch of ass kissing fans who are going the same way in hopes of becoming "Friends' with these GNR insiders or admins so when GNR come to their city, maybe they will get invited backstage or something..... its just really sad and pathetic. I have never sold my voice out to please anyone because if I had to be an asskissing sycophant to party with GNR backstage, I'd rather keep my rafter seat and know I didn't sell myself out.
I salute James and everyone here for keeping the forum what it should be. A Place for fans, new,old, cynical, positive just whatever type of fan you want to be, it is ok to be that way.
This place is the last of a dying breed for sure.
