#3411 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 698 weeks ago

I saw the Woman in Black. It was actually pretty good for the most part. Classic spooks and watching people shit themselves over the simplest thing can be fun at times. Saw it with friends; so it made it better. The ending was meh and kind of corny.

P.S. How do you get the video image to show up on the page after you post on the forum. Thanks!

When you go to make a post click on "Advanced reply" underneath the box. Then click the "utube" option to the upper right of the page where all the emoticons are. Then copy and paste the url link of the youtube video into the space. it'll look like this....

Thanks Bono. 9

I go back and forth with covers. Sometimes I like them to have no point really and by that I mean an almost dead on (or very slightly different) update of the original, super popular song like say this:

Other times I like them to be completely different from the original and something obscure on top of that, like this:

I love the Billy Idol cover of that song. Have it on my ipod! big_smile Who doesn't love Billy Idol?  xD

These are some covers that I think are pretty solid. big_smile

Phil Collins-Can't Stop Loving You (Leo Sayer cover)

Mr. Phil Collins everybody! He made this song his own!

Santana ft. Chris Daughtry-Photograph (Def Leppard cover)

Say you what you want about Daughtry, but he made this cover pretty badass even though it will never be as superior as the original classic.

#3417 Re: The Sunset Strip » QUEEN Discussion » 698 weeks ago

The only person in my opinion who has the chops to do Queen shows is Mika. He has that Freddie kind of voice and swagger. Just no new material, please. Adam I just don't care about his voice or stage perscense. I find his music rather annoying and I understand that Queen was a huge influence. Nothing personal against the guy. I  didn't like Paul Rodgers doing stuff with the band either. Even though I grew to respect the guy because he has a great voice and wrote some great songs during his life and Freddie said that Paul was one of his favorite singers and would be a perfect addition if something were to ever happen to him. Plus the Queen+Paul Rodgers tours were quite successful even though the album wasn't. I understand why Brian and Roger want to make more music with different artists cause they want to and can; but I personally would let the legacy of Queen end on a high note. It should of ended after the Tribute concert back in '92. I do want to hear those Freddie collabs with Micheal Jackson that Roger is tinkering with. Even though I'm not that into MJ's music. XD

#3418 Re: The Sunset Strip » Black Sabbath » 699 weeks ago

All I'm saying is they better not screw up this opportunity. Like the public and the fans have said before, It's now or never. Especially since Ozzy's voice has been pretty great these past few years that could sound amazing on a Sabbath record. I don't want to see Tommy or Mike Brodin stepping up on the drums or even Vinny Appice (even though he is a great drummer who has played on a Sabbath record and Dio of course). It has to be Bill Ward.

#3419 Re: Management » Custom Titles - Request Them Here » 699 weeks ago

Yeah..I love that scene so much. The Family Guy Bill Cosby one is good too. "I had a uncle named Stewie and he used to build bicycles..KOO KOO CA CHOO!"! XD The Bill Cosby Pokemon Rap is an amazing splice song!!

Of course. Business and finances has always gotten in the way of things like this from happening. This better not be Sharon's doing or I'm going to be pissed. It's not her band to make these decisions. These are four legends and friends that have been through hell together and deserve to rise again as one of the founders of HEAVY FUCKING METAL!! I'm hoping Bill gets the right deal, he deserves it. Tony, God speed on the recovery. It's terrible for anyone going through something like that. Lawyers have been trying to fuck this band in terms of a reunion since the late 80s to today. 2012 is the year for Van Halen and Sabbath to return. Let's hoping everything works out.
