I wonder what happened to some of those people who haven't been around in years.
Some are still on some of the Discord’s and some ended up on MyGNR just cause of the community being more active - don’t think the quality of conversation is as good though on that forum IMO.
The dead and bland years where nothing significant happened between 09-15 really killed off a lot of the online community + message boards becoming less popular in general. I wish some of those people would come back too.

If I recall correctly there’s a really good fan upscale with remastered audio done of the Rock Am Ring show by Fransad available somewhere online.
That failed 06 launch was the last time they had any sort of momentum. It’s a shame.

I've only ever heard of the one that was barely audible. If there's a good quality one like what was mentioned above, then that one.
There's a cleaned up almost fan remake of the cell phone clip where they constructed Axl vocals that sound like the cellphone recording syllable by syllable. I will see if I can dig it out.

I’m a bit worried no liftoff until 2022 but I guess we’ll see in the coming weeks
I'm less worried about it being 2022 and more worried we get no confirmation, announcement or anything this year. If this release is going to have multiple SKUs (streaming, download, regular release on CD and Vinyl, deluxe editions, etc.) would seem smart to get that out in time for November/December. And based on what they did with AFD Remaster... they love deluxe editions. Hell, even ChiDem got a shitty one with a t-shirt.

In my opinion, the Chinese Democracy's version of Shackler's Revenge is a mix from the Rough Mixes Prom Violence & Shanklers'r Revenge. Just take a listen to the multitracks from Rockband en you will notice it.
Hmm I can kind of hear how if you take bits of PV and bits of that Shackler's 2000 sketch, work on them a fair bit then you get a lot of the musical parts of the final song. Interesting theory.
