heres' something to think about. Of all the leaks there are way too many people who have their own opinion that a certain song si the worst song Gn'R ever did.  If the World is hated by so many, #2 has been called worst song of the decade by some, IRS has been called the worst moment in Gn'R history(that was me), someone said they never want to hear Madagascar ever again, a bunch of people have caleld R&B a total mess,  that's not a good sign. In fact it's a brutal sign. You won't find that many varying opinions on songs being the best thing Gn'R has done but there are far too many songs falling in the "worst" category. Great. We've got an album full of songs people feel suck. Sounds epic to me 16

sorry for the quadruple posts

Wow, everyone's on the ledge on this stuff. You should just jump now because this is what we're getting. Not sure why'd you want to stick this out after hearing 10 cd songs. There's no reunion coming either. The best you're getting is Slash's attempt to be Carlos Santana. Another original idea there. Like I've been saying, I like the new ideas here. I'm past the gnr of old. I don't want the same ol, same ol. I want something that challenges everyone involved, including us.

This doesn't challenge anyone though. there's alot more interesting music being made today and this isnt' some of it. Throwing a  whole shit load of stuff together and producing it out the ying yang doesn't  equall challenging, inspirational, original or even good really. I've never unerstood the opinion some people have that this music is "challengeing" or "trying new things" Like what exactly?   Axl needs to stop the bullshit of trying to be Elton John, Rush, and Trent Reznor all in one. Fuck be Axl Rose and that's it. I swear he's trying to be something he's not. We knew he had this type of insecurity back in the day so what's changed?

As for the guitar playing on these songs in my opinion it's nothing special.  None of it is as good as the old stuff Slash did. In fact the best solo on the new songs in my opinion is the sublime solo at the end of Better and that's Robin. Sure BH might be a technical god on guitar but I haven't heard anything in these "demos" that make me think "holy shit Slash who?" You know to me there's just nothing there. There's no kick ass solo that's memorable. None of these solso save for Robin's in Better even compliment the song in my opinion. they just go off on a tagent of guitar soloing for the sake of guitar soloing. The ending to Twat is alright but it's not mind blowing. At least not to me.

I heard The Cure do this in the 80's,

Ahghhhh arrggghhh YUK!!! James what the  fuck? 16 This is nothing like the Cure. yeah the Cure use synth but they use it to perfection. the synth actually compliments the songs  Robert writes and they add so much emotion to the songs. No band ever utilized Synth as a stand out instrument the way the Cure did. The way Axl does it sounds like cheese. Sounds like he's forcing them to be epic(which they are not). They have no timeless, classic feel to them at all. Cure of the 80's is pure timeless.

IRS is a total turd of a song. Vocally, musically, lyrically the song sucks ass big time. One of the worst moments in Gn'R history.

Ummm... memo to Bach. This makes your "friend" Axl look bad. "funny" annecdotes about Axl's temper, not helping dude.

This song has sounded so familiar too me since I first heard it but I couldn't pin point it but now I think I've narrowed it down. It sounds like a  Robbie Williams song I swear it.  You'll all think I'm on crack but I swear the first minute sounds totally like a Robbie Williams song and then at certain points throughout.  not a song that could be a Robbie Williams song but a  song that IS a Robbie Williams song. the melody sounds lifted from a RW song.

I'm listening to #2 right now and its so damn familiar. I swear the melody in parts has been accidently taken from some other song. I've been trying to pin point it since the first time I heard it but I can't.
