Yeah I found it weird that Cummings mentioning of pulling an Axl.
However, doesn't Axl have the most song writing credits in GN'R though? So I can see how Cummings feels that Axl is in his league or the comparison.

He's down on the idea of reuniting again with Bachman, with whom he last shared the stage back in 2009 after years of on-and-off collaboration. Without ruling anything out, Cummings said that with Bachman paired once again with former partner Fred Turner, another reformation was unlikely.
"That's doubtful now, because he's gone back with Fred and they're trying to do that whole BTO thing again," Cummings said. "We had a great four-five years of Bachman-Cummings, and then we were kind of gearing up to go to Vegas and he decided he'd go with Fred. We all lost some time and effort because of that.
"I will always respect Randy. He's an amazing musician and a wonderful player and we wrote great stuff together, but I really think the days of Bachman-Cummings are done. I wish he and Fred the best. There's no bitterness or weirdness, it serves me better now to be Burton by himself."
He was less generous in sizing up former Guess Who mates Jim Kale and Garry Peterson, who own the trademark on the band name and regularly perform gigs under that header with sidemen.
Cummings says he doesn't speak to his former collaborators and "probably never will unless it's with lawyers in a courtroom."
The relationship is so badly damaged that Cummings says if the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland ever saw fit to finally recognize the Guess Who — a longstanding snub in the eyes of many of the band's fans — Cummings wouldn't show up for the induction.
"I won't go if it happens," he said. "Just as Axl Rose could not stand up there, there's no way I could stand up there with Peterson and Kale after what they've done to the name ... and the next day, (they) go back to Hattiesburg, Miss., with some other guy on vocals and some other guy on keyboards and guitars. There's no way. So I'll graciously decline.
"What they've done to the name is a disgrace."
Even as Cummings describes his tense relationship with his former bandmates, he doesn't lose the chipper spirit he's carried throughout the interview.

Sure, some us may think it's waaay cool that Axl is gonna be on TV (myself included). Because it is a far and few in between event for US.
But I'm not sure anyone is really expecting some grand revelation on an epic scale or that Axl in one big scoop is gonna convince every viewer that Axl fuckin Rose is BACK BABY!!!!
All the comments are pointing on some airtime where he's gonna plug upcuming gigs in Vegas. And that is basicly what every musician/moviestar/director are doing on these kind of shows.The only small posibility of something MAJOR being said is if Axl has a quick mention that after the Vegas-thing, GNR is gonna release a followup to CD. But that is major for us die-hards only. And that's cool. We all know that the average music fan is not sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for a new album.
Another possible cool result outta this. Axl CAN be very entertaining when being interviewed. I know I cracked up on some of the stuff said on Trunk's radio show. Maybe, just maybe, some of the average viewers will go: "Hey, Axl Rose seems actually like a real funny and cool guy. Who knew...?"
Yeah yeah, I know... A few minutes of airtime is not gonna erase 25 years of bad press bla bla bla.... But we can hope and he can try. No harm. I think some people will be left with a positive impression of him.

Seemed to me like the rock press was all over it at the time. same as they are now with this Kimmel apperance. It is news!Seems that the GNR-camp are trying to do a better job on promoting. Kimmel, Vegas, a gig in the fuckin cinemas! C'mon! It's like night and day compared to what we're used to.

Normal bands go out and promote their work and they don't have a text book on excuses why they can't function normally.
As a follower of this band since 2000. I am not interested in Axl Rose just chatting with Jimmy Kimmel about the good old days and some stupid anecdote about getting drunk or lame story about a hotel in Paris.
If he ain't announcing a new album, I don't give a shit.
Let's face it the interview is going to just be a anecdotal safe interview and Jimmy Kimmel is going to be afraid to bring up Slash or any old Guns N' Roses reference.
It will be a safe plug and shit anecdotal story.
You can't teach this band new tricks.
Basic promotion is not something to applaud either.

I mean this doesn't surprise me in the least how low Axl has sunk.
Why would a talented and creative guitarist named Buckethead leave? Oh because he clearly knew the train wasn't moving for a while and did not want his talent to be cooped up.
Robin Finck left again, not wanting his talent to go to waste.
I really hope Tommy Stinson leaves the band and focuses on his solo career and other projects. The dude is talented and it isn't punk to be playing in a cash grab band.
And really pathetic on his part for using the Appetite shit. It has been said over and over again.

I just find it weird that people are insulting Izzy for performing with Axl.
Those cats again have a history that predates Guns N' Roses.
It doesn't surprise me in the least that Izzy would be the first one to reconnected with Axl, it is kind of a natural thing and looking at it from a historical context.
Izzy just does what he wants.
I don't know about you guys but I value my friendships I made a long time ago and if I am still friends with said person, they are in a more favourable light than a newer friend. As it is years of trust versus someone new.

Izzy has Axl's back...pretty obvious. It doesn't mean he doesn't support the rest of the guys. But, in the end, they started the band and if asked, they would tell you they wrote the large majority of songs. That is true and that is a fact. We all know how Slash took some of those d turned them in to ICONIC songs. So, haters lighten up
I agree, I didn't mean my post to sound like Izzy wasn't geling with the other cats, he clearly does.
And in no ways trying to discredit Slash.
I think it is ridiculous that people aren't allowed into a concert if they're wearing a Slash shirt.
Slash is part of Guns and you can't take his accomplishments away.

What the fuck? What the fuck! You cats in London got a treat. I am not a fan of DJ, everyone knows that. Seeing Izzy is a once in a lifetime experience, glad I got to see him in New York for the first time and it was his post GN'R appearance with GN'R.
Izzy has never been for censorship like Duff was with that internet bill on illegal downloads, so let's hold the douche card off the table.
The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame is Jann Wenner's brainchild. Does it really have that much bearing or because it inducts you, you owe someone or the fans anything? I don't think so. I mean was Axl's letter a day before the gig kind of douchey? Likely. But Izzy didn't show up for whatever reasons, and he doesn't owe you that. And that people are mad at him over that it, is uber lame.
Next issue. If I know my Guns history correct, Izzy and Axl are childhood friends both from Indiana and reconnected in 2006 or maybe before hand, I don't know. So he likely had the heads up on the whole RN'R Hall of Fame. It seems like they might have a better bond versus Izzy & Slash or Izzy & Duff, judging from the fact they were friends long before the Guns N' Roses existed. Anyhow, regardless if he did or didn't know about Axl not going to the Hall, who cares? It is in the past and over with.
I do think though that Izzy has Axl's back to a degree, obviously he gels with the other guys, but you have to factor in the history between those two over the other four.
Make no mistake though, until Robin is back in the band, I am not a fan.

Seems the fell on Liverpool was not fun n' games.
Axl fractured his shoulder while falling during the bow.

Even in this conditions and with the leg the way it is, he continued the tour so far with 3h concerts.
Gotta admire him for that. This same Axl, a few years ago, would not continue.
