August and Everything After is one of the best albums of all time in my opinion. Possibly a top 15.

It's amazing to me that with all the love NIN get on Gn'R sistes that PHM gets overlooked big time. In fact I'd wager most NIN "fans" under the age of 23 have never even heard PHM.  In my mind it's BY FAR Trent's best album ever and one of the best albums of all time period! Nice to see it on your list.

#3603 Re: The Sunset Strip » The 25 Best Hair Metal Bands » 890 weeks ago

That list is pure garbage in my opinion.(MY opinion) based soley on the  fact that the best "hairband" ever was Posion. The poster children of the genre and likely the best  of the bunch isn't even on the list. That's a fucking joke. Gn'R, Areosmith and others on the list aren't  and never were hairbands. I love Poison as cheesy as they were, they're were alot of fun and in my mind were far and away the best "pound for pound" hairband ever.

Well, I "think" that we are looking at a reunion within the next year or so. I never would have thought that 2 years ago and definitely not 7 years ago, but I "think" it is going to happen fairly soon. Azoff is there for cash. Robin is gone...it is obvious. He left for a reason, and it was right around the time of the new "management" announcement. Just me personally, but this album isn't coming this year.....and to eat some crow, I "think" Slash will be on the album by the time it is released. This is based on some purely speculative internet garbage.

No need to eat crow. Just say you think Bono, the only guy who's flat out preached that Slash will be on CD for the last two years now will be right. tongue

As for Axl S's comment about a reunion Gn'R doing Slither... BRING IT ON! That would  fucking rock to hear Axl's vocals on that song.

This crap makes me laugh and roll my eyes. It's all bullshit.  They'll prove the existence of Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster and Santa Claus before anything remotely close to a  trilogy is released. My money is on a Big Foot dicovery before Chinese Democracy even comes out.

YCBM isn't much of a rarity as it gets some airplay on music TV channels. But the other ones you mentioned basically hardly anyone in my age group knows of them.

YCBM is a rareity here for sure. The video NEVER gets on Much Music it's once in a  blue moon you hear it on radio. Yesterdays in fact gets a decent amount of air on the radio here but it's always at like 3:00am when I hear it. I don't think I've ever heard  it durring peak hours.  All those Illusion songs had lots of play back in the day but once their time was up mainstream radio fell back to the big three from AFD. At least here that's how it went.

#3609 Re: The Sunset Strip » Top 10 albums of the 70's » 892 weeks ago

I can honestly say I dont' know shit about 70's music.  Back when I dj'd weddings alot, whenever anyone would ask for some 70's music I just stared at them and blinked my eyes. I'll have to exclude myself from this discussion. Thank god kids in the clubs these days don't wanna hear 70's music or I'd be fired.  haha.

Wow. yikes

An old album hitting the top 200 is very unusual.

I'm sure management is watching that development very carefully.

Looks like all the reunion talk and lack of anything CD related has boosted AFD back on the charts.

The album hitting the top 100 is insane. If anything newsworthy happened this week(it wont), AFD could literally hit the number one spot.

An album number one in 1988 regaining the top spot 20 years later??

Under the right conditions, it could happen.

No shit. That's fucked. cracking the top 200 is one thing but to make the top 100 is even crazier.  Imagine if they rereleased a song like It's So Easy or Nightrain as a single and all the little young kids got to hear one of those songs instead of the standard three. I bet it could boost album sales in a  big way. I often wonder what young kids think when a "rareity" like YCBM or Yesterays or Dead Horse or Brownstone come on the radio.
