I'm not too sure about his thoughts on China, its his point of view though and I can respect that.
I've never been to China but I know a couple of people who work there as teachers, the image of the country they bring back is a far cry from the oppressed and depressed image Axl paints here.
Infact they often say they find life there much more open and respectful than what they were used to in the UK.
I'd like to go one day and experience it for myself and see what image I leave with.
with the exception of the financial penalty for having more than one child, this reads more like North Korea than China.

I respect your opinion, but I just don't agree with it. Ron can do whatever he wants, make as big an ass of himself as he wants, but I, in turn, have the right to lose respect for him when he engages trollish behavior. As I mentioned earlier, Ron has done a lot of great things for the fans, but the mygnr chat and this latest message were not those shining examples.
If it makes you feel better, I have been brutally critical of the NY Jets trash talking as well; I think when you have the goods, you don't need to sell it. Just let the music and talent speak for itself. Rumors, innuendo, it's all trash and no one was buying the those spread about Ron anyway.

Ron was pushed? Wouldn't that assume that people were generally buying into these rumors?
Axl suffered through horrible press for years and stayed quiet.
Ron posting his side on a message board is fine, but the childish rants against shit stirrers is simply shooting rubber bands at the moon. I highly doubt he put some anonymous kid sitting behind a computer in his place.

Ron is a person just like you and me. He had some fun insulting people just like others on planet Earth do. And took years of abuse from people before doing so. No big deal.
Attacking trolls is like feeding gremlins after midnight; they just multiply and become vicious.
Ron may have been 'venting' or 'having fun', but it was pretty ugly to read some of the garbage he flung back: insulting their 'job', an ugly joke about forced sodomy......
As a friend pointed out on another forum, not one of Bumble's finest moments.
Re-reading that message today, I am becoming less and less a fan of it.

KV you can find some of the tour here in youtube format. while not near the experience of a live show. you can see a new chemistry develope in the band. and IMHO it evolves into a great sound from axl the whole band and Dj adds his on brand and is a showman. he imo also holds the classics much closer to recorded sound than robin did. In any case i think if you havent already you should watch some of that tour and decide for yourself
I do like what I see from DJ. I don't think he's there as the No. 2. . . yet. That said, I don't think Ron will ever be that guy. The vacuum left by Buckethead was quite substantial in 06; I can't imagine how large that vacuum must be now that Robin is gone.
Thanks for the links. I've seen a few of the them. The band sounds great, has chemistry, etc. But I haven't connected with this line up as I did in 01/02 and to a lesser extent, 06.

I'd be on the fence when it comes time to buy a ticket. I saw two great incarnations of the Guns N' Roses brand, but when the 2006 line up rolled out something was missing. But it was still an entertaining show, don't get me wrong. But unless DJ could up the ante from Robin, I'm not sure there is enough to motivate me to see it again.

It wouldn't matter if he did. Then someone would complain that he didn't address the fans directly. He's in a no-win situation, and I've said it before, but it's crazy that anyone would buy into the idea that he somehow slighted the fanbase in his responses to a few trolls.
Who cares what some dipshit says on a message board. Statements like this will burn their way through the messageboards and the BS.
It is a no win situation when you engage the trolls. In fact, it empowers them.

I dont see a Guns tour anytime soon here. Besides Axl won't come down to Newark.. We'd eat him alive in the brick city.
Me neither. A certain Mr. Azoff has a long reach in the US arena concert market.
Oh, and he's suing and being sued by G&R too.
