#31 Re: Guns N' Roses » Perhaps (2023) to Drop » 104 weeks ago

I didn't think I was gonna like the New recording.
But I like what they did to it.

I don't claim to understand the reasoning of the solo.
But I think its only glaringly obvious to people that have heard the demo.

Most people  will have no idea of the what and how of it.

The improvement on the chorus vocals is significant, and I also like the deeper voice Hey, Hey's.

The pre-chorus music is very different.
I think it fits the song,
I have never been one to be excited about synths, so far I only miss the vibe they created on the HS demo.

Report card.
Absurd - better than demo(s) +1
HS - demo version is better     -1
Perhaps - so far I say better   +1

Worked this time.
I kept getting the upload homepage earlier

#33 Re: Guns N' Roses » Perhaps (2023) to Drop » 104 weeks ago

I wonder if this is all over solo?
Some crazy power play.

Anybody know the mood of the most recent show?

Did Top Hat pull the release,
and as response TB let it go to Jukeboxes
to try and force the songs release?

What a mess,
this band can't even release a single ,
in an age where any fool can do
In just the 30 seconds it takes to upload it lol

#34 Re: Guns N' Roses » If GNR releases nothing in 2023, is this the end for you? » 114 weeks ago

Is this a reaction to ,
almost everyone on the Forums
saying that they are Done.
i.e. Finally giving up on GnR,
for not releasing any "New(-ish) Music"
......Perhaps smile lol lol

#35 Re: Guns N' Roses » How do you feel about CD potentially being the last GNR album? » 115 weeks ago

It Sucks!

And it's not that I don't believe Chin Dem is a masterpiece.

But the 2008 version is Not It.
The Village Sessions prove they had it done and ready to go.
and it should have been released in 2001-ish.

The older the demo is the better the songs sound ,
Even he 2006 Leaks are better than the album versions.
They fucked it with over production.
So many guitars all mashed togetha into a soft gooey mush.
Destroys all the dynamics.

The track listing is also fucked.
It all starts the sound the same,
and it's just all too serious, GnR always had songs that make ya laugh a bit like Used to Love Her, You Aint the First, etc
It needs to be mixed with some the half dozen unreleased songs from Village Demos tthat show the band taking chances instead of every song sounding the same. Give it more variety and grit,
and a little humor.
Mac Daddy (Eye On You) could have been something' lol
Perhaps or State of Grace, or the masterpiece that is "Going Down" ~

"What Could Have Been" : the story of Guns n Roses... bahahaha

Just watched some of that. Not too shabby.

Unfortunately....92-93 GNR no longer floats my boat although I loved it at the time....and I spent thousands on all those overpriced bootlegs in the mid-late 90s.

I blow hot and cold on the bloated excesses of Gilby-era GN'R, the horn sections, the costume changes during Civil War etc. I would love to see a proper release from those 1993 shows where Izzy briefly returned to the band, though.

Yes, that would be nice.

I remember the 3 minute clip from MTV Europe I still got somewhere.
And , ...did a longer video of that pro shot surface in recent years ,
or am I just imagining it?

So many GNR music & videos files
I have everything that should have been the Box Sets,
on an old 120GB Drive,
way back from the days of the GNR Tracker.

I will never go see them ever again.

I saw reunion 4 times.
Lucky enough to see the debut of Absurd last time.
But Ax's voice is just horrible,
no pyro, no more end of show fireworks, etc..

They are so bad now live.
Slosh with Top Hat & Wigged stapled to his head ?
It's embarrassing to even admit to being a fan of the band.

The constant lies about releasing music that never happens ,
Is just dumb.

Like someone said previously
If they would just be honest about not wanting to release new music ,
I might not dislike them as much as I do.

My fav band most of my life since 87.
But the cash grab reunion has poisoned the well.

Couple more years will be another decade of mostly nothing.
(other than 7 minutes of music that was HS/Absurd single,
and even that was dragged down by the unliistenable & horrible sounding Live recordings they used make the two different EP's)

I can't remember the last time this band did anything good?

Fuck 'em
Lazy f'n' cunts

Can we re-up ?
the link is dead,
or just send the link to me

#39 Re: Guns N' Roses » SOG single coming? » 149 weeks ago

There is no hope left for current day GnR.

It's just a countdown to whenever Ax's voice is gone completely out.

#40 Re: Guns N' Roses » SOG single coming? » 151 weeks ago

Rock in Rio was a disaster.

They need to release a fuckin single,
to try and get people interested again.

Another year or two of nothingness and the forums will be ghost towns.

Actually fuck the "singles" idea, and just release the album.
Clear the deck, maybe it will open the band up to New Music,
if Axl can still sing enough to record studio vocals.

So much time wasted,
They should have released Chin Dem II,
and New album by now
