The Pulse of Radio reports that VELVET REVOLVER and former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash said backstage at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 18) that there had been "some interest" from Hollywood in a film version of his recently published autobiography, but that he hadn't "really looked into it." Slash told The Pulse of Radio that he'd be open to the idea, but not without some restrictions. "The one thing I wouldn't have them do or allow them to do would be to actually do the book with the characters in it, the way that they are in real life as far as who they are," he said. "You know, if you wanted to take the story and make up some people (laughs) and change the names and all that kind of stuff, and make everybody fictional, it could be interesting. But if you were gonna try and go, 'Okay, this is Slash and this is Axl (Rose) and this is Slash's mom, and this character's gonna play Scott (Weiland),' no, I wouldn't allow it."

Legendary LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant was interviewed by UK's Channel 4 News on Tuesday (November 20) about the band's upcoming reunion gig and his collaborative album with Alison Krauss. Watch the four-minute report below.
THE CULT frontman Ian Astbury reportedly announced during a show in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday (November 17) that his band will support LED ZEPPELIN on a 2008 tour.
According to an MTV.com report, Astbury told the crowd, "We'll be back next year because we're opening for a band you may have heard of ... the name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it." After a fan shouted, "LED ZEPPELIN," Astbury nodded and raised his arm in the air.
According to Billboard.com, a spokesperson for THE CULT had no comment on Astbury's remarks. A LED ZEPPELIN spokesperson could not be reached at deadline.
However, there is growing speculation that ZEPPELIN, who will perform a one-off Dec. 10 show in London in tribute to the late Ahmet Eretgun, will indeed tour next year, with or without THE CULT.
It is understood that conversations have already taken place to gauge the willingness of surviving bandmates Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones to hit the road, and there are unconfirmed reports that U.S. venues have already been approached about holding summer dates

Scott Weiland has revealed that he has signed a publishing deal to write his autobiography.
The singer, who also fronted the band Stone Temple Pilots, said that the prospect of writing the book is overwhelming.
"It's a weird thing," he told Reuters backstage at the American Music Awards. "You make a lot of records, write a lot of songs, but all of a sudden you go into a whole different vein, and it's a little bit scary to dive into."
Weiland was with his bandmate Slash when he made the announcement. The former Guns N Roses guitarist just completed a memoir of his own, and gave Weiland some advice, saying: "Just jump in, and once you get going you can't stop."
Weiland will reportedly collaborate on the memoir with David Ritz, who has co-written several music-related autobiographies with artists including Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles.
