person: ron, what's your fav. flavor of ice cream?
ron: OMG...I SO LOVE ICE CREAM
It's Vanilla Frozen Yogurt with chunks of real cherry. Good shit, as he would say.

I just don't get it.
I mean things have been done for a long time now. 9 or so months.
What could be the holdup? I don't think Axl is stalling, but seriously. We're almost a year from "recording is done" announcement, and 3+ from the "Axl on Angel Down" post.

Neat. I wonder if Axl was hanging around Detroit at all this week with the Auto Show going on?
Did you go?

Geffen is owned by Universal Music Group.

It is mind boggling how the fanbase is treated.
I don't know why we don't get more updates, etc.
It seems a little odd to me. I mean Bumblefoot especially has the utmost respect for the fans and I get the same vibe from all the other members in the band. I know they all have great respect for Axl and want him to be happy and all that, but it seems strange still. Axl is sometimes turned off by all the negative people on the boards, which I understand.
People expect more and sometimes that's definitely not right. It just seems like everyone (including Axl) is tightlipped, so I don't know if he can't talk about things for some odd reason or he's just choosing to keep everything underwraps.
Part of the reason Axl and GNR have always been cool is because they have this mystique and ambiguity around them, so in some ways its good. You don't want to oversaturate the world with GNR. You want to keep barriers up no matter what.
So in some ways it's beneficial and good, but when it's bad it's BAD. I'm sure people get me on that one.

I'm high on life. That's when I listen to GNR. Praise Jeebus.

I haven't watched Wargames in probably 10 or 15 years. Know about Defcon rankings from reading military books years ago.
Haha, someone was talking about Global-Thermal Nuclear War though.
Anyway whenever this album comes out I think I'm going to have a f'n heart attack from the sheer shock. Obviously the album exists and has existed but seeing something like a tracklist and album cover will make it come out of the whole mythical, etherial category and I don't think my poor little gorgeous heart can take it.

Jameslofton wrote:No, Defcon 2 is the stage before nuclear war. Defcon 5 is total quiet. I only rank us at Defcon 4 because us fans are bitching.
OK in that case I meant Defcon 2.
Although one could measure the defcon in the level of fan anger. In which case we could be approaching a defcon 3 with Global Forum Capitulation quicly approaching faster than a GNR tech on a sports bike.
I think Nostradamus predicted it would all go pete tong for GN'R in 2009.
You crazies have been watching too much WarGames.

I hate to be a downer, but assuming every piece of business is done right now, at the very earliest we would get the album in mid-April or so and I really doubt that.
Who knows, but I'm not going to get amped up.
Good job Neemo.
