Congratulations! Did he say anything concrete (for a change) about new GNR music or was it the usual vague statements we are used to?

I just have a hard time understanding why anyone would purchase what amounts to two b side GNR songs (in comparison to their officially released catalog). The songs are average at best and if I want to hear old catalog live material, I just listen to the versions we have back when the songs were actually still relevant.
I agree, but am willing to show my support of new music in hopes it might lead to better, and better-produced, records in the future.
That said, for now I am waiting until enough people confirm the shipping issues have been fixed before I place an order.

The leaks have been amazing. The released material, including the new EP, have been disappointing.

That is a really good point: Buckethead was the one member everyone talked about, usually progressing from shock/confusion to curiosity and then respect. He was as iconic as Slash in his hat. He defined the new era, first visually and then sonically. Didn’t Kurt Loder or another reviewer mention Bucket as the highlight of Rock in Rio?

Having seen GNR with Bucket and with DJ …
Bucket indeed was a freak but a weirdly fascinating one. His musical skills were stunning, the robot dancing and nunchuck routines made the audience respond positively (morphing from WTF delight into “This guy is good!” appreciation). When he’d stand there, motionless, between performances he still had presence.
Obviously his recorded work with GNR - released and leaked - is just phenomenal. He took the band into the 21st century. He added levels of drama, skill, and emotional range which honored Axl’s vision.
DJ played skillfully and respectfully, as a fan-turned-band member might be expected to do. His comments about how he perceived the job reflect the guy I saw onstage.
Bucket was an inspiring foil who brought out the best in Axl. He followed him into new territory while offering even further possibilities. DJ came across as a dedicated hired hand. Definitely nice to fans, and he seems like a decent guy.
But they are worlds apart in terms of skill, aspirations, and contributions to GNR. That Axl didn’t work harder to keep Buckethead is the greatest tragedy.

If we get new songs I hope they are truly new with contributions by all three original members. The two ChiDem re-makes seem like revisionist history and they disrespect the work of the band that originally recorded them. Better to save the outtakes for a 20th anniversary box (presumably dropping in 2029 at this rate) and start this new album with a clean slate.

-AND its currency is a wreck that is getting worse.
No telling what could happen.

This isn’t partisan nonsense coming from the President with a lower approval rating than his predecessor, or a legislature looking to deflect blame from their failure. This is a Supreme Court Justice repeating complete disinformation in a trial, where she has a voice on the constitutionality of mandates. This is a whole new level of fuckup.
I hope she addresses this, as seeking the facts and truth is the cornerstone of Justice. You don’t get to make decisions that affect the nation based on objectively false information said behind her mask in her private chamber.
In agree. I was stunned by what she is quoted as saying. Totally inaccurate numbers and crazy misinformation. It was like she had asked a crazy friend about current events instead of reading the news …
