Maybe Axl wants to release cd2 but the record company don't like it.
Axl won't publically be seen to step into a studio because the record company would then hold off to see what else the band could come up with?

4 years would drive people insane.
If this is is his timeline for an album with the current band then he needs to release some of the CD material to bridge the gap.
However if they can't even release a live DVD then what chance do we have of new music?!

I hope GNR won't be too long with some exciting news otherwise were going to be scraping the barrel with these soon!

Despite his silence online and with his fans Axl must have got quite a name for himself amongst all those producers and engineers during the CD era. I'm sure Lillywhite wasn't the only person to turn Axl down.
What I found odd about this story is if Lillywhite did hate his voice so much why did he even meet in the first place? He could have hardly forgotten what Axl sounded like!
If there is a next record to be produced I wander who they might ask to help out. and who would be willing to take on Axl and all his antics.
