Hank Williams Jr is the only country I can listen to...That guy is fucking awsome.

You should give his kid a listen. Hank III is keeping real country alive.

But yeah, it's definitely cool that Garth Brooks is helping out the wildfire victims.

As intriguing as Cornell grouped with ex GNR members sounds, its never going to happen.

If Slash really does a guest star solo album, one can only hope Cornell & Patton lend a hand. Who knows what Cornell thinks of Slash from their touring days. The screwing inflatable dolls onstage bit could either be a fond memory or a lifelong deal breaker. 14

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think Contraband is a great album. Sucker Train Blues, Illegal I, Set Me Free, YGNR, Slither, DLT, LTA are all top shelf as far as I'm concerned. Then, the ironic part is that I personally can't stand FTP, which is alot of peoples favorite. I don't know what happened on Libertad. Maybe the two stars were saving their best ideas for their respective solo albums?

While VR's future definitely seems to be in question right now, these guys are certainly capable of buckling down & cutting another great album. If the band does fizzle out, at the least, I'd like to get a live album that shows them at their best. As for Slash, he's pretty huge again & it'd be great if he could drop a guest star solo album. I'm sure all the big and/or interesting names would be down with a Slash collaboration.

Estranged poops on NR & Civil War. It's cool to see Mother Love Bone on there, but wtf is Timberlake doing on this list? A little something for everyone I guess. roll

Oh, don't worry. Our fearless leaders will come up with some reason to fuck with Iran. There's too much oil there not to.

Wow, I've always wanted to make a trip out of the festival. This might have to be the year!

#428 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Weiland Arrested Again » 916 weeks ago

Traces of pot ending a rock stars career? Never heard that one before. 16 But seriously, I'm sure Weiland has been given advice in these matters before & knows that losing his license is better for himself than getting another drug charge. Something's up here. Career junkie crashes his car in a one car accident, police think he's under the influence after he fails sobriety tests, guy refuses to take a drug test. I don't think smoking some weed a couple of weeks before hand causes one to fail sobriety tests. But we'll all find out soon enough I suppose.

I generally hate country music, but Garth Brooks is about as cool as a country artist can be.  He's down to earth, he makes (and admits to) mistakes, and he puts on a great, energetic show.  Plus, he tried out for the major leagues.  I don't think he wrote most of his own songs, but if he did, he would be in the running for greatest frontman ever (in my opinion).

I couldn't disagree with you more. To me, Garth Brooks represents nothing more than being a corporate pop country star. He's no different than Britney, except his music in a different genre. He's about as fake as a country artist can be. Chris Gaines??? That ain't country. Also, he didn't try out for the major leagues. He paid some team to let him hang around spring training for a couple of weeks. Big difference.

Hmmmmm.........Why would a supposedly sober Weiland be afraid to take a blood or urine test? When one gets a drivers license, you sign the paper saying the police can test you for alchohol/drugs if they suspect you to be under the influence while driving. If you refuse the tests, i think you lose your license for a year or two(not sure in Cali). Why would Weiland want to lose his driving priviledges for such a longtime if he had nothing to hide?
