Yeah. I liked how they did the Incredible Hulk reboot, the new origin was just a quick montage during the opening credits. I hope they don't spend to much time on it for MOS, but I have a bad feeling that its going to be half the movie.

I just gave it a listen and I liked it, but not as much as Black Gives Way to Blue.  The music was good but I didn't find the melodies as catchy, with a few exceptions.  The melodies for Low Ceiling and Breath on a Window stood out to me.

I'm a big Superman fan, I'm definitely going to go see this, and I agree with everyone that the previews look awesome.  That said, am I the only one annoyed that we're getting another Superman origin story?  He's the most recognizable superhero with the most well known origin, it doesn't need to be retold and it sucks that we're going to have to sit through it again to finally get to something new and awesome.

I'm planning to give this a listen this afternoon. I liked their last album allot, so I've been looking forward to this. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Star Trek: Into Darkness was AWESOME!

Great story, great effects, great action, great pacing. I'd even say it was better than the last one.

Fully pumped to see what JJ does with new Star Wars now!!!

Yes! Saw it last week, fucking awesome.  I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but that was a hell of a twist at the end.

It's been that way a long time, but lately some pretty big forces are starting to come around on the issue. Prominent world leaders speaking in favor of a change is a big step, and the recent state legalizations in the US shows the public support is growing to a point where the politicians have to start considering it.

A pro market would be insane. Whenever I walk through the beverage sections I look at all the different brands and think to myself, why can't they sell weed like this? Why can't I have a few plants in my home without worrying about going to jail, for years!

Reefer madness!!

#437 Re: The Sunset Strip » Motley Crue Discussion » 630 weeks ago

(hennemusic) Motley Crue have branded their fall 2013 Las Vegas residency as an "Evening In Hell." The group, who will return to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for an exclusive 12-show run from September 18 through October 6, have released their promo poster for the series which discloses the title.

The fall shows will be an all-new production and the band is pushing their own envelope once again. The production will be designed exclusively for The Joint, with plenty of surprise elements for fans and a set-list full of hits.

"We are proud to have pioneered the Las Vegas rock residency last year," says Nikki Sixx, "and can't wait to come back this year to take it over the top with a brand new show that will be unlike anything you've ever seen Motley Crue do before."

(hennemusic) Joe Satriani discusses his inspiration behind the writing and recording of his new album, "Unstoppable Momentum", in the first of a new 3-part video series.

In part 1, Joe discusses the abum's concept, plus working with Mike Keneally (who was also on 2010's "Black Swans & Wormhole Wizards"), and new collaborators Chris Chaney (Janes Addiction) and Vinnie Colaiuta (Jeff Beck, Sting, Frank Zappa).

The video series also features exclusive behind the scenes footage of the recording sessions and samples of tracks from the album. "This is what I do, it's what I've always wanted to do," explained Joe, "... in service of achieving that never finishing artistic quest - that's what it is and what it's all about."

#439 Re: The Sunset Strip » Bon Jovi Discussion » 630 weeks ago

Gossip site Hollyscoop have published a report based on an "insider" and unnamed sources that claim Richie is feuding with Jon because of Jon's ego. They report:

The insider revealed, "Jon Bon Jovi had his ego hit hard when daughter Stephanie overdosed on heroin on November 14, 2012 in her college dorm. Since then Jon has been distraught and even angrier to business associates and friends. Jon said point-blank to Richie's face, 'I thought an overdose would have come from a daughter of yours, not mine.'"

It was this low-blow comment from Jon to Richie that basically ended whatever relationship they DID have. Sources say that since Jon's daughter's overdose, Jon has gotten even angrier and more cruel to Richie. Richie has always maintained that his exit was for "private reasons" that he would not go into. [the unnamed sources say] that this "private matter" was actually Jon's belittling.

"Richie just went quietly and played for 20 plus shows that ended in late February, but when he had to return on April 2 for the next leg, Richie decided he wasn't being paid enough to go through with all the cruelty from Jon," adds the source.

Our sources even think that Jon's recent jab at Justin Bieber was a hidden passive-aggressive dig at Richie for ditching the band.

Basically, our insider is pretty positive this is the end for the band. "After what Jon said to Richie about Richie's daughter and his comments and actions to hurt Richie, Bon Jovi may be a thing of the past."
