~90% of the deaths are in the aged population
42% of deaths are in 0.60% of the population aka people in old folks' homes.
The big burst in NYC deaths of 1000+ dead, 94% of them had co-morbidities and 88% had two or more.
Epidemiologists estimate between 60-80% being completely immune to infection
Epidemiologists are estimating between a 0.01% to 0.03% IFR morbidity rate
Speaking of smoke, they're all blowing it. Straight up your ass.
You'll be fine.
Go bang your wife and live life.
We're all gonna die.

Pesci's work in The Irishman was out of this world. It's the best thing in that movie, imo.
Mickey is the man. Incredible actor. But besides him fucking his face up and burning all his bridges, all of the writings on the wall seem like he's a pain to work with. That's everything. And who'd want to work in Hollywood nowadays anyway? It's a nightmare.
Pope of Greenwich Village, check that one out.

I couldn't tell you the last time I listened to Chinese Democracy, the album.
It is absolutely unlistenable. It's the Inception horn blaring in your ears in disc form.
I've listened to maybe 1 song here and there every... 2-3 years in situations like this.
When I do listen to songs from Chinese Democracy, which is decreasingly frequent, it's always been the 2006/2003 leaks. And now I add in a handful of 2000 Village cuts because those actually kick some ass, i.e. the title cut and Riad.
I need the 2002-2003 sessions and then I can finally move on from this shit show.
I don't think the odds of it leaking are great but I don't really know. I hope I'm wrong. And I hope soon.
It's all so tiresome.

Do you know what could have saved the album... and his career?
Napster.
Big agree.
The problem is Axl is a boomer at heart. Fuck you, pay me. I need my feet rubbed.
I mean it with dead seriousness that him throwing a shit fit about the fan praising Better in 2006 is more embarrassing than his Rio disaster or the Bridge School debacle combined.
I think Bucket might be the only one cool enough to do that.
Pitman, maybe. Robin? Nah. Freese? Nah. Tommy? What's a computer.

It's a giant mess no one wants to cop to.
In 2000, Bob Ezrin's comments fucked with Axl's already-fucked head. Bob Ezrin's comments scared off Iovine and the record company. Despite this, if Axl isn't a mental case and is reasonable with the record company, the record comes out 2001-2002. Everyone involved should've supported this. New GNR is a success or failure, victory or death; the record company gets it off its books; the record company has proof for the reunion.
Axl forced the record company's hand in absentia. They should've cut him off way earlier.
The stuff from 2006-2008 can only be interpreted in the lens of Axl clawing for survival motivated by a late night hate-boner for Slash. The record was never coming out. It was used to sell a tour. The big guns were Better, TWAT, and IRS. They're great songs but everyone was over them by January 1, 2007 let alone November 26, 2008. Everything was politics to force Universal's hand. But they weren't coming back to the table after Axl gnawed off their hands the last time.
We can thank Irving Azoff for the record. Same blueprint as the Merck-sold tour in 2006, leaks as political plot. If Axl were a chick, they would've leaked his sextape. The record came out, crickets. I get both sides. The songs are interesting but the mix is an abortion and people are stupid and need to be sold things by the television. In 2006, it wouldn't have done GNR numbers but it would've done well.
Axl had another breakdown.
When he picked up the pieces, he had another bipolar delusion of grandeur. The 2010-2015 saga is Axl trying to convince himself he's not washed up and then accepting his fate as a touring-has been.
The reunion was the best option on the table. Make tons of money and have your balls rubbed or play to half-filled arenas. Comfortable rockstar likes money. News at 11.

Who produced the Mike Piazza leak sessions? The smart money is on Roy Thomas Baker.
I was listening to "There Was A Time" during my workout the other day and long story short, I listened to all 7 main versions in a row.
The 2000 stuff from The Village is like an art-house rock band just hitting the mainstream. TWAT is the perfect example of this: it's polished but there's an edge, there's some bizarre and artful choices (Robin's slide guitar reminds me of a traveling bard strumming away, like he's telling you An Olde Tale, About the Guns and the Roses), and its bursting at the seams with energy. The bass is really heavy here which is cool because it's buried on the final album and provides some extra thump. Maybe a decibel too loud but still appreciated nonetheless. It's also another sign of the times new metal tentpole sort of thing. Of course the bass was gonna be loud - Korn was owning the rock charts at the time.
The 2006 stuff, or the Mike Piazza stuff, so 2003 stuff I guess, is like a big rock band. It's much more polished, the bass is dialed back. The weird stuff is dialed back. It's got that New York cool, a "Has Anyone Seen My Baby" sexy vibe to it. I also think that RTB or whoever made a conscious effort to lean into the trip-hop sound. Brain's drumming is heavy and pretty distorted here. But the mixes sound clean. The songs rock hard but they go down smoothly.
The Andy Wallace leaks, the Antiquiet leaks, the final album, even the 2001 stuff from the Brain discs all sounds too try hard. The flow is ruined, parts of songs are ruined, too much tinkering - Dizzy Reed is allowed to play bongos. It's a mess.
But some positives: the 2007 version has some really cool distortion on the guitar from 2:40 to 3:20. It's similar to Three Dollar Pyramid (Take 2). I never noticed Bucket doing a weird noodle for 1 second at 1:48-1:52ish, most noticeable on the 2007 leak imo. Or a walkdown thing at 4:45, 5:15, and 5:40 during soloing.
2000 and 2003. Those are the real Chinese Democracy.
Put. Them. Out.
For.
Fucks.
Sake.
Its.
Twenty.
Twenty.

Social media companies are censoring a very tame anti-Kamala Harris website.
It includes sources to back their claims.
The Ministry of Truth strikes again. We've always been at war with Eastasia.

I was telling this to Russ the other day, when the Antiquiet leaks hit, I was blasting "If The World" at top volume on repeat. I couldn't be bothered to listen to any of the others.
The song filled me with an immense amount of joy. I still love it.
It was fun and funky, had pop smarts, and fits alongside of the Use Your Illusion / Zeppelin III vibe they had going for them. Even better if it could've dropped in 2001.

I was talking about the content of the campaign itself.
Biden is a career, establishment politician with a long and troubled history.
He's about as fresh and exciting as a mothball. No one is or was excited about voting for Biden.
The polls showed a dominating Hillary victory in 2016 throughout the election and on election day. I don't take polls too seriously especially because we're several months out and second and more importantly Trump voters, outside of vocal Twitter types, generally aren't going out and shouting their support for Trump from the rooftops when that can result in being ostracized or worse.
And there's still a lot of time for Russia to hack the election.
Prediction: This decision will go down as the lefts version of the Palin pick.... completely out of touch with reality.
Well said, James.

The Biden campaign had nothing going for it and now has even less.
Black Hillary is the best of the worst but is ultimately going to do nothing to get swing voters and will only damage the whole campaign longterm.
