Someone threw a piece of gum at Axl during a show in Detroit in 2006 and he had a little mini-rant.
Good times.
Security was spooked all night about people taking pictures with camera phones. This was back in the days of Razr's and shit like that where maybe 1 in 10 people had those phones.

He's adding 2018 shows as well.
March 27 2018 - The Arcada Theatre - St Charles, IL
March 29 2018 - The Token Lounge - Westland, MI
It looks like it's just Big B, no Brain or Brewer.
I bought tix to the Michigan show, if any other bucketbots are going feel free to coordinate.

Guns N' Roses ranks 6th in Highest Paid Musicians of 2017 at Forbes
6. Guns N' Roses - $84 million dollars
The legendary rockers went back on the road to the tune of a five-continent excursion, helping Guns N’ Roses achieve the rare feat of soaring into near nine-figure earnings territory without any major endorsements.

I'm not sure of their numbers as it seems to include 2016 information for some artists. The number seems a bit high but it's entirely possible I suppose given the shows in South America.
I'll be interested to see Billboard's EoY numbers.

I don't agree elevenday.
It took two full years from 1985 to 1987 to put together Appetite and the bits and pieces had been in play since what, 1983? The sooner the better.
A new album would be the first new step. Another two year tour to back the album as the real money maker.
And it's doubtful they'd do one farewell album. If you look at most rock acts, it's 4-5 years between albums. They aren't getting any younger.
We all know about Axl Time but he hardly has an abundance of precious time.
My chips are still on that it's never going to happen.

It's possible he was sick but I don't think so.
I think it's the combination of major depression, existential ennui, hyper sensitivity and isolation.
His vocal performance improved considerably in 2006 which was after the rumored surgery, him touring regularly, and working with Baz's vocal coach for a hot second during the Hammerstein shows.
Is it a surprise the best vocal takes on the album are the most recently recorded and furthest from the peak of his depression/issues?
This said, I think he's been spotty since the dawn of the New Guns era. The tracks are copy pasta for a reason.

I listened to the first 4 songs and mostly trailed off from there.
The long and short of it is that Axl showed up motivated, you could hear a clear snarl in his voice that has been missing in other shows, the band delivered another deep setlist for the hometown crowd, and collectively, the band's performance was a marked improvement over Rio and the Apollo show.
But Fortus and Slash still have no chemistry, Axl's twilight years are depressing, and there's some truly awful playing going on.
And the depressing thing is it won't matter a bit.
