Wow, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having so little respect for Perry, Jane's & PFP. I'm a huge fan of pretty much everything Perry has ever put out & Lallapolooza was such a great idea. Jane's certainly had that Zepplinesque mystique going for them in their heyday.

Man, I remember sneaking out of my house at midnite to drive to the indy record store & picking up TSI. I still have that same disc. The cd didn't really impress me much, then years later, I got a job managing this kitchen & out of nowhere some kid put TSI on the stereo. That nite really made me appreciate how good GNR & this album were. I guess maybe it was because I listened to it from a different perspective other than sitting in my room picking it apart & thinking about how uncool GNR had become at that point. No one there had any idea I love GNR & to see younger people getting into it made me appreciate what it was. It's not AFD, but it really is a fun, hard rocking little cd. 'Ain't It Fun' & 'I Don't Care About You' are definitely my two favorite cuts.

Um, no, I don't think I'll be buying a Sebastian Bach record anytime soon.

I don't really think it's all that strange. Maybe Beta gets a bit theatrical with it all, but that's her own thing. I know I let my wife go into places before I enter, just so I know from her vibes if it's cool or not. Maybe Axl didn't know Jericho from The Macho Man. I thought the interview went off well. Axl should get out & about like that more often, but not too much.

Chris Cornell is undoubtedly one of the greatest singers of all time. Undoubtedly. The thing that somewhat holds him back in terms of media attention is that he wasn't really weird in any sense. As far as pipes go though, he's right there with Plant. Right there.

I think AFD era Axl trumps them all. It was as close to perfection as anything I've ever witnessed. The best name, the best band, the best songs, etc....... The man still gets a free pass 20 years later, despite numerous lame public moments. Who else gets that? And the reason he gets that free pass is because, deep down, everyone knows he was the absolute shit of all time for a brief period. Not to many of those guys walking around.

God that's weird/cool to see Nico Hoon growing up. Her father sang like an angel & I remember the exact moment I learned of his passing. He was one of a kind.
