I dunno why but I don't think they will be in Europe.

not to be a negative creep but where do you get the idea's they're planning anything?
from what i can tell there's never really ever been anything resembling a plan. & do see any indication they're starting now.what i mean is, i don't think axl has a vision for the yr ahead.
it seems more that he just takes things as they come, will maybe work if he feels like it kinda thing.
he's not like stalin w/his 5yr plans n shit. unfortunately. he's too disorganised for that & doesn't have the support/people around him to help him effectively.i'm not trying to be a dick. i just don't see any basis for this optimism/belief. i would actually like to share in that idea but everything i see leads me to believe the opposite.
Neither do I, just thought it was odd.

This thread got huge quick. Didn't read it all yet but I gotta back up ID. While I disagree strongly about Robin, Bucket, Huge, etc. coming back, I understand why ID(and others) want them back. That lineup created the CD sessions! If you like CD I dont see how someone can prefer a lineup that has created nothing. Reminds me of Nesquick hating Bucket with every fabric of his being and swing from the nuts of Fortus, then when he found out EVERY solo he thought was "so beautiful, so inspiring" was Bucket's, he disappeared(probably jumped off a bridge). He still hated Bucket even after finding out Fortus did NOTHING.
If you love or like Chinese, its only natural that you would favor the lineup that created it.

Awesome.
Slash was on top form. His tone is like amber nectar and technique spot on. He is such a cool mofo aswell!
They played civil war, rocket queen, scom, you're crazy, jungle, pc from GNR, slither and then ghost, Anastasia, AL, back from Cali and a bunch of others from his solo albums. The GNR stuff sounded more authentic than GNR!
My highlights were the solo in Rocket Queen, Anastasia and the Godfather.
Axl's such a dumbass to not get back with this guy. But I'm not too concerned, Slash and his band are a great and at least they produce new material!

Looks like there quite a bit of backlash over the decision to have Axl headline this festival. Here's the petition to have him removed from the bill.

Well that will teach the people who thought it was great that GNR are playing to a different (cool indie?) audience, getting away from the metal audiences.
