#461 Re: Guns N' Roses » Prob no Brain on tour » 822 weeks ago
Yes I did actually.
There is multiple evidence that songs exist that were not released on CD, so i believe enough material exists for a second album.
And I believe he won't reunite, according to Adler he's already turned down buckets of money to do so. And lets be honest - there been a ton of great times for a "real" GNR reunion that have been let slip. It's pretty clear he has no intention of reuniting.
So yeah, I'm not setting my stop watch for a new album, but I'd argue a follow up album is more likely to happen at this point than Slash rejoining the band.

I'm thinking of heading down to Baton Rouge and smoking a big spliff on the front steps of the County courthouse.
When I get out of jail, the release of Chinese Democracy II might be right around the corner.

Who's in the band?
I think we'll go with a combo of who's around and who's on the album for now and worry about that when we get ready to tour.
Is Robin [Finck] in the band?
Last I was aware, he had some interest in touring, though I can't say what that means until then. In our opinion, he's made things a bit awkward publicly, but that's just his way.
Is Brain in the band?
Last I checked. Brain works on several things with Guns either from his home or in the studio.
So you have two drummers? Will they both tour?
Yes, and who knows?
When's the next album?
Have no idea and don't care. Hopefully, we'll be working 'Chinese' for a good bit. Of course there's the same idiots that have been around forever already demanding release dates.
How much material is there?
Not as much as Baz [Sebastian Bach] thinks he heard! Really, it doesn't matter. If things go well enough, we'd like to get another out at some point in our lifetimes.
Is anything finished?
Depends how you look at it.
How do you look at it?
Not something we've focused on.
You're not saying much.
You got that? What I can say is if you don't like this, then you probably won't like that. Same people, lots more approaches, bit meaner in places and darker in some. Robin does a really great Stevie Ray Vaughan-type solo on one track.

Purple Rain has less filler, but they're both great albums. I had both of them on cassette tapes.
Remember Columbia House?
10 albums for a penny?
Tape the penny to the order form.

Great Top 3!

How is this even a thread?
FAKE!

a house of cards?
A very fitting analogy for Guns N' Roses 2009.
I wonder if this was intentional or a Freudian slip.

whats with the prince love...his music sucks
I'm not a big Prince fan, but I'm a big fan of Purple Rain.
Great album, great movie, great song.
Waaaay better than Shout at the Devil in my opinion.
I never really got into much of his stuff after Purple Rain, but that album is stacked with hits.

This album was never destined to be a hit.
While I think the album would've done better with Wal Mart I don't think it'd be as successful as say ACDC if the band took their same silent stance.
I don't see how you could argue the album wouldn't have sold better at Wal Mart though. That's pretty self explanatory.
I agree it would have sold much better at Walmart.
I just think if it really had "hit" potential they would have released it sooner.
"It's a great GN'R record," says Tom Zutaut, "but is there a hit single? Because without the hit, you can't sell 20 million."

I've a said it before, and i'm a gonna say it again...
Wal-Mart exclusive = CD has a totally different legacy.
Epic fail w/ BB.
Highly likely, this scenario.
This album was never destined to be a hit.

Looks like it probably was staged.
