#4781 Re: The Sunset Strip » What do you think are the best produced albums? » 929 weeks ago
Dark Side Of The Moon
Appetite For Destruction
GN'R Lies (second half)
Timothy's Monster
Seargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Zeppelin I,II,III,IV,HOTH,PG,Presence
Population Override
Let It Be
Frances The Mute
I don't really get too worked up about production unless I feel it should be better, so this is more like another version of fav. albums list.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but hasn't CD been called just "the album" by Axl since 2002? All the references to CD in 2006 I think were from the interviewers etc.
#4783 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » SLASH Planning Solo Album » 929 weeks ago
actually I'd like to see him collaborate with Izzy more. I think if Izzy was writing songs with him, I think theres huge potential for strong material. I doubt it wuld happen, but it would be cool. I was bummed out when Izzy left VR before they were VR.
Damn straight. Those 2 are one of the best guitar teams in the history of rock. On their own it's so so, but as a team...fuckin' a. Too bad Slash never really clicked with the guy. Could have made a bunch of cool stuff together.
Either way this will be interesting to say the least. Finally he will be solely responsible for the material. There will be no excuses this time.
Is Axl showing up on a track too far fetched?

Wait...PLuto controls my happiness? I thought I did...weird...
You thought right. I see it more as an adjuster of some kind. Hard to explain.

Elephant Mans Alarm Clock for hard hitting riffs and blistering solos.
Population Override for groove and emotion.
Colma for melancholic chill out.

Only advice I got for you is to read a couple of books on woman psychology (written by men, I can't stress that point enough). The Game by Neil Strauss, David D'Angelo's E-book and The Dating Black Book (don't remember his name, got an X in it) are good places to start.
Contrary to what many believe these do not offer pickup lines or any of that nonsense. Of course, there are examples of what you can say etc, but bottom line is they tell you how to find the man in yourself. Becoming the person you really are. This is what women really look for. Looks, body, intellect, education, money are all secondary to a man who's secure, independent, humorous, specific etc.
This will not only help you pick up women on the town, but also teach you how to maintain a steady relationship.
Going around waiting for things to happen will most likely get you nowhere. At best you'll end up with 'leftovers', as most do.

I've bought 21 Buckethead albums this year. That might be a record too
After talking to bri I decided to focus on Decoding The Tomb Of Bansheebot of these 3 releases.
What can you say really that hasn't been said before? I feel this might be the synthesis of a lot of his previous work. It follows in the vein of Peppers Ghost (one of the few BH albums that let me down) in terms of sound, but contrary to that album, DTTOB also delivers the mean aspects of EMAC, Inbred, Kaleidoscalp and PO. His solo in Checkerboard Incision is a major fuckin' drool trip. You literally get hard from it. No, that's no joke. This is absolutely top notch, ranking right up there with his classics.
If you haven't bought any BH albums in 2007 this is the one to get. Prepare to wear out your first cd.
Holy shit.
