Johnny Firecloud (Antiquiet) said this last June: "the simple fact is that we leaked the songs, we know where they came from, and that enables me to say with unwavering certainty that these are 9 of many, many finished new GNR songs to come."

Hopefully Mr. Firecloud(with the help of MSL and dark) can prove the existence of the trilogy beyond a reasonable doubt. 16

Trilogy as in... '3 records', or trilogy as in a group of interconnected songs? I need to catch up on my Chinese-sessions mythology...

I didn't think I would agree with you about this, James, but the production IS spotty.

I couldn't get over how FLAT IRS, Catcher, and TWAT are vocally. It's the same old thing we had with each 'demo' - same vocals, inserted over a dynamic music track. The vocals don't weave in and out.. they're just there. And they sound muddy. It's like the original recording sucked or something.

And the Scraped glitch makes me crazy each time.
First impression = how could this have happened?

"As to that, who am I to say"
HOLY CRAP - I've wondered about that!

These booklet screw ups piss me off. UYI was made before desktop publishing became as abundant as water, and it had a ton more lyrics, and there's not fuck-ups like this...

couldn't help myself...

Twas the night before Democracy
and all through the Net
not a leaker was stirring
Not even a FakeSpain

All through the store
the records were stocked with care
in hopes that a few million people
would soon be there

Last time we saw him he wasn't chubby or plump, just his older self
And the last time we saw him, it was in spite of himself
A crazy look in his eye, and the shake of his hips
Soon gave me know it was okay he had dreads.

But he hasn't spoken a word, just putting out his work
And filled us with speculation, sometimes - what a jerk.
I think he's giving the finger to all his foes
But what can you do - it's Axl fucking Rose!

He's not going to say why his band seems sort of brittle,
And away some flew, but we've still got Bumble
But I hear him tonight, as he runs around out of sight:
"Merry Democracy to all, and to all
Good
fucking
Night!
*drum fill*
..Yeah!"

If you were Axl, would you want to sit infront of Leno or Letterman, do semi-scripted small talk for a few minutes, and have Leno hold out the CD infront of the camera - slightly crooked, and perhaps upside down?

I wouldn't.

For as much as we know the exact date he'd come out and make a statement, or do an interview, or whatever, was set awhile ago. For the general public the album isn't out yet and there's nothing to talk about. Between Thanksgiving (US) and Christmas is what I think pretty much matters.

Then we'll know... something, or we'll have more mystery.

I think the hoarders are depleted...

Wow - he did stuff for Soul Asylum?

Yeah man he has writing/recording credits on two songs(Bus Named Desire, Oxygen) off their 2006 album The Silver Lining. Really good album if you like Soul Asylum. He did some shows with them too

Uh - I have that album... and I liked it... but never looked at the liner notes!!!@!!!!!

Well, Axl credits himself in the mixing section so there you have it. I didn't know he was an engineer.... craziest guy in the project does the most work.:ummm: I'll say it to him..."just shut up and sing"...

Creatively, I think it may have been a mistake to step into the mixing, but it might have been a total nessesity. I have a feeling that Andy did a wonderful job but then they added parts - and they couldn't get him to come back in and re-do the whole thing.
