Good points.

We'll sadly never know because the band never talk in any detail.

I'm not sure Monsters is "Soul Monster.

What the hell was Me and My Elvis from the locker leaks then?

It's a crying shame if that remained an instrumental but it's possible

If these had released in 00-06, these would have become niche fan cult hits. Now, they are cool but the sound is definitely a little dated sounding for 2023. Still very interesting though.

I really dig it but I can see why this is a B Side. Totally not single potential.

It's the most interesting and different sounding GNR has sounded since If The World honestly.

It is a crying shame we hear these for the first time by leak where we
a) don't know if these are the final release or demo
b) if they've been tampered with or any part has been cut
c) if in the age of Gen AI if these are 100% real

The band screwed the pooch by not actually releasing themselves after sitting on another song for two decades. Great work TB.

This song being physical only isn't going to change he the sales of the Perhaps single vinyl. The band's lack of strategy with any of this is really disappointing but not surprising.

They should put it up on streaming. Thankfully, as long as there's no super slow shipping times, we should have a rip of the song by end of the month at the latest. Not long to wait now

Is It possible that the music on that promotional video IS from the general?

Anything's possible.

I'm bored of the wait for this song already. This dripfeed approach is old and tired, especially when it's not leading to a bigger release of any sort.

If they had just released all the reworked songs as an EP, I think that would have satisfied us for a long time.

I think the Key East info was fake.

Alot of the early fake information, going back 20 years, originated from Florida and the name Key East implies Florida.

There was a female student who worked in the studio at the time, I can't remember her name. Also, Merck said years ago there was about 2 albums of 'finished' material and other unfinished material, so I think this was used as the basis for the fake info

Only person I can think of that that could be is Vanessa Parr
https://www.vanessaparr.com/

Looks like she worked at The Village from 04 as a grad, possibly she worked there earlier as a student too. It lines up time wise.

When Axl debuted his new band in 2001 he played 6 new songs. Except for Oh My God all of them are on the "Exhibit B" page. Surely most of those songs would come from the A list. Vast majority of CD is on that list.

Curious questions would be why songs like IRS, Hard Skool, The General and Oklahoma are not on the list.

My guess is this is linked to some sort of bill that came due, maybe for a recording studio, engineer, or musician that wants compensation for specific songs they worked on.

It was from Zutaut's locker and was due to his case about his dismissal after he left the band. Its Exhibit B because it's an exhibit of evidence for a court case.

There's also a letter confirming Zutaut's dismissal that leaked at the same time.

So those song titles are legit.

#48 Re: Guns N' Roses » Atlas Shrugged (2023 ) - Rumour » 96 weeks ago

The HasItLeaked doesn't source his info from Reddit and 4chan as far as I know.

Pretty certain they have some industry contacts. They've been right on lots of things over the years for various different artists.

I don't have reason to doubt they were told that Atlas is November by someone they trust.

I have reason to doubt the band will follow through and stick to plans.

I dont doubt I'm more than likely wrong with the lyrics to this thing. But when I tried to improve the audio to hear the words one of the line's i settled on was "Monster's call me, Monsters coming" just before the heavy section.

Maybe the general is a monster after all

For once could he just say, yes it will be on streaming when it releases. Like we know the answer is yes.

The cryptic, hint bullshit got old a long time ago.

It may also be unconventional...or vocals he can't do anymore. Bury it as a B side and the stadium crowds won't even expect it

I think that might be why. From what we know about the song, it's possibly very dark and about child abuse etc. Also is meant to have a long intro and I think was originally a song Brain (and Bucket?) brought in. So, possibly very not "accessible" for casuals.

It may be the case that out of what they have left Perhaps and Atlas are the most radio friendly. Makes sense then for Atlas to be kept back for the last batch.
