I'm not saying a new song wouldn't be nice, but I also don't know why anyone ever expected one in Vegas. The thing is billed as a career spanning thing and even names the albums it spans from and to in the title.
For what it's worth, I've personally set 2013 as my high (or low) water mark for "the future of GN'R". I think that they need to finish out the year in India with the tour set up they've been running since about 2010, take a break til early spring then start the cycle on whatever's next. And by "whatever's next", I mean brand new material of some sort released in some way to the public.
If 2013 comes with either nothing from GN'R or another tour similar to what we've seen for the past couple years, I'm going to assume it actually is the nostalgia act everyone has been trying to say they are.
I would have thought they might have included some more Chinese songs, IRS, Rhiad, Prostitute etc. or Oh my god!
Plenty of time to rehearse and practice, no travel complications.
I don't know why they would need a 4 month break either!

Beta replied the day after the Jimmy Kimmel show.
I've been burnt by GNR a few times, I thought they'd grown out of this phase though. This has been so badly managed its unbelievable
Winds me up when you see pictures of Fernando around in Vegas - get on the case and do your job!

Apparently these have cancelled in the UK. To get a refund, you have to go to the cinema In person.

GNR has so many great songs I just don't get why they play so many covers.
Think the best chance of hearing something 'diffrent' might be the 7th, assuming they're not on a bender for a few days!

I think if you asked the drumming world who was the better drummer the consensus would be brain. Much more technical. I can't remember where but I am sure I read an interview where Matt confessed to running out of drum fills on UYI.
I liked some of sorum's drumming on UYI but would have liked to have heard steve's version. Is there a bootleg of steve on you could be mine? The reason I ask is I thought this was written at the same time as appetite.
I like Frank too. He hits the drums hard.
There was some great drumming at the end of the catcher leak, think it was brain
Bono floors them all though.
