#511 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » New Interview - Brain Mantia talks Guns N' Roses » 671 weeks ago
I agree, the most complex part I heard was one of the outros to catcher in the rye from the leaks
Id love to hear the full on industrial versions of some of these songs, perhaps with josh freeses drumming

I'm not sure that she expected the huge announcement at Kimmel. In the past she definietely tried to bury the hatchet and did everything she could to bring the two together again, and she definietely changed standpoint and tone after her plans fell appart. Even Slash was angry for his lady's comments.
On the other hand I don't think Slash would earn more as Axl's employee in a tiring tribute band, than what he earns as the leader of his own emerging band, which has more and more success with time.
Beta, Fernando etc must have seen her as the anti-christ
#513 Re: Guns N' Roses » Dizzy Reed Interview for VEGAS.com » 672 weeks ago
VEGAS.com had a chance to talk to Reed about the group’s upcoming residency and what it means to the band to be playing in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Here’s what he had
What does the band have planned for the residency shows?
“We’ll do a lot of drinking, a lot of gambling, hope to play some golf during the day and yeah and play at night"Are you working on any new music now?
“We’ve been kicking some ideas around. We have some time off in Vegas. Hopefully we’ll be able to organize ourselves to get in a room and continue to refine a lot of those ideas and see what happens.]
Gonna be difficult to organise yourself if everyone is either drinking, playing golf or gambling Diz!
I imagine Ron all on his own knocking out a few licks whilst the others live it up.
GN'R is more of a lifestyle job! A band for retired rockers.

You can tell Ax isn't very practiced at this kind of thing.
He seemed quite tight at start, jimmy doing most of the talking, but he's loosening up a bit
Chill out Axl!

Both him and Slash are now hiding behind hats and sunglasses these days, although Slash has been doing it for years.
I think Slash may be balding, but whenever I've seen Axl without a hat or bandanna, his hair seems fine, so the hat and sunnies just looks odd...
When they were young it was more of a fashion thing. When they get older it makes me just think Axl is very insecure. It Didn't look right on the tmz interview

I hope he takes off the hat and sunglasses. He's beginning to remind me of the invisible man.

TBH I'm shocked he didn't pop up in the thread immediately after you posted this. He always seems to know when he's mentioned somehow
Maybe he's been taken out :-)
#519 Re: The Sunset Strip » Rolling Stones Discussion (US Tour Announced!) » 673 weeks ago
2400 USD for two tickets.
Alternatively you can buy their box set which includes two tickets for 1500 USD.
Of course the gigs will sell out, but I just can't help but think it's a rip off.
Will see how much GA tickets are on Friday, I bet they are 80 - 90 pounds for an average seat.

So tickets are on sale for O2 London.
You can pre-buy an accomodation package which includes a category one ticket for a mere snip at £750 per person.
Any takers?
