Stop-gap records have been an inherent part of the band's history.
Lies kept them in the spotlight between Appetite and UYI. The Spaghetti Incident? seemed like a stop-gap as well. To do another one would take some of the pressure off the guys as they rekindle their friendship and partnership. It would be a good thing.

I really liked Bumble. He was good for the band and the fan community even if he felt like an outsider. He seems like a thoroughly decent guy.

If they do record covers, it would be very fitting. In a way, the reunion tour has been about them rediscovering what they like about music, and each other.
I'll take anything that gets them feeling better about their friendship and that builds upon the GNR legacy. We've had silence for way too long.

New ChiDem-era leaks the moment I give up hope?
All I can think of is the line everyone quotes from "The Godfather Part 3": "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!" 
The rehearsal sounds really interesting. The links, as others have said, are all dead but hopefully we'll hear it in its entirety by Christmas. And the thought of new demos ... please don't play with our emotions!

Oh, and the real big news buzzing around at the moment, is that GN’R will release something in 2019. Apparently Axl is currently sifting through CD leftovers for a new album.
Does that mean another anniversary collection that is one year late? Typical GNR!

And here we are, exactly ten years after the release of the album some of us thought would never come to light.
Unless something changes, the crazy ride leading up to the album actually going on sale will stand as the most interesting, frustrating, exciting, longest-lasting, and mysterious musical experience of my life. From the moment I first heard a lo-fi mp3 demo of "I.R.S." to slipping the official CD in my car's stereo while parked outside of a Best Buy store on November 23, 2008, the treasure hunt slowly then inescapably sucked me in.
To think I'd be purchasing marked-down copies at Best Buy (to hand out to friends and family) a few years later, and then copies at the dollar store a few months after that, would have been preposterous ... yet somehow that only seems to be a weirdly fitting coda to the whole adventure.
I'd love for Axl to release a box set with outtakes and a surround-sound mix some day, in part to give the general public another chance to discover the album, although at this point hoping for anything from the man is something I've learned to avoid.
We should all give the album a spin today.
Ten years. Holy crap.

If Hawaii is indeed the final show for a while, hopefully it will be another marathon.
I asked my wife if I could go when the date was announced: "I'd fly in, see the show, go back to the airport, and take the first available flight home!" I did that for David Gilmour, but that was just at the Hollywood Bowl so airfare was affordable! This time, she just gave me a look. I tried!

We're now about a month out from the 10th anniversary of Chinese Democracy.
I still hope that something might drop in recognition of this event, but my dreams that the band/Axl might do some kind of two-disc deluxe edition or box set are pretty much laid to rest ... unless all GNR reissues work on a one-year delay!
