It's as good a date as any, but without knowing who the sources are, not much we can do but file it away.
Azoff isn't a bad guy, just defending his clients' work. But the thrust of his attack should be the hoarders who have these songs, not the one who leaked it to the masses. Once the songs have entered the bloodstream of one member of the public listening audience, it is nearly impossible to plug the leak. Azoff should trace back the source of the initial leak and begin due civil process. Watch your head, Fernando.

I don't think a comparison between Trent and Axl is an effective use of time. One clearly updates his fanbase, focuses on the serendipitous proliferation of new ideas, churns out new material weeks after its creation, and even offers free sample. The only is a very introspective thinker and perfectionist who labors with small details until he believes the work is up to his standard.
Two different artists with two diametrically polar opposite styles.
And only one can have Robin Finck.

This song, which I think is most likely Prostitute, is also a builder. The orchestration kicks in during the second verse and Axl's lyrics explode. 'What Would You Say If I Told You That I'm To Blame? And What Would You Do If I Had To Deny, Your Name?'. A great line, executed wonderfully.
my thoughts exactly KV - parts of this song have that Estranged type, hair standing on the back of your neck moments for me
Good to see you here too btw - this place is really the only place to post now
Nothing beats good people and the freedom to speak your mind.

If Axl/Universal receive a heap of cash for exclusivity, more power to them. My hope is that the price of the CD is at least discounted and in store promotion appropriate for a release of this magnitude. Universal appears to want its money off the top and may not have confidence that there is enough of market to make back overhead.

Wal Mart, eh?
Somewhat ironic that Chinese Democracy may find an exclusive release at a store infamous for selling cheap imported Chinese products. Keep hope alive.
