They finally got another Charles on the throne. Timing is perfect.

Buscemi is ace, always is.
The best part about this movie is that the comedy is not very exaggerated. When the guards are afraid to open the door, or Buscemi clowning around in the Central Committee, that all happened. Krutchev's survival mechanism was being the butt of all jokes, acting a clown. When Beria walks through the corridors and you hear people being shot left and right, that is a little exaggerated but not by much. Despite the comedy you feel an incredible sense of realness, almost like watching the real thing.
Der Untergang which is supposed to be this high brow, serious movie is in my opinion a lot less true to reality than The Death of Stalin. The way they portrayed Goebbles in that movie was completely ridiculous, way over the top, and Hitler too. Who on earth would follow that man?

Death of Stalin (2017)
This one is pretty good. It is a comedy but it also serves as a fairly accurate history lesson. The writers know their stuff.
Buscemi is the lead role as Krutkchev and you see the power struggle after Stalin through humorous glasses. The characters and writing are so good in this I wish they had included more of Stalin. The film is best in the first act while he is still alive.

It's obviously not great but he manages to make it sound okay. I was afraid this was going to be embarrassing, like you're standing there in the crowd and you cringe on the band's behalf.

I think frankly they don't care. It's a job, the money is rolling in. He doesn't want to deal with anything and he doesn't have to. Other two are fine with it. We're lucky he still cares enough to release a couple of his old demo tapes. That's supposed to be part of their marketing too and see how they're handling that.
Like Izzy said, it's just a joke now.

You could call it the high watermark of the old band. Not at their absolute best musically, but as a popular phenomenon they were at their peak. I always feel for Adler, imagine being kicked out at that moment. A lot of guys wouldn't survive that.

I predict waiting.

Old America. Open, nice, light shaded.
Bidens America. Give me the military dictator look.

I watched half of Amazon’s Lord Of The Rings and shut it off. Terrible.
There’s really no way to properly say how bad it is.
It's boring. The dialogue is pretentious and tedious, telling us very little of interest. Acting is cheap across the board. Action wise almost nothing happens. The intro which is a copy of FOTR has some action, and they slay a cave troll. Or rather SHE slays a cave troll while the male elves look on ineptly. Lots of that too.
Galadriel has two faces. Angry and not-angry, which is really more of a "barely keeping it together" thing.
In one scene, shellshocked from all her tours to Nam, she fumbles a holy ritual as she refuses to let go of her knife. I wouldn't be surprised if she was actually based on Rambo. The refusing to let go, scarred for life, always ready for battle, it's all there.
