Is everybody here on drugs? I’m really glad I have friends that aren’t so naive. Again, I am actually embarrassed that I read these unbelievably naive comments on this circus. They are a cabaret act which has a solid Broadway following.

You have friends?
To be fair this is gnr nothing at all except endless touring is a possibility

Although having said that I think attendence at gigs is down a lot, so how long can they keep on touring before it's not financially viable?

I don't think we know that they abandoned the singles plan. Might just be on a slower cycle than we'd like.

I agree with Shacklermyrye - the band seems to be in "get something done" mode at the moment.

Might be setting myself up for a fall lol - but it just feels like they will do something soon.

I don't know that soon is the word lol

If they were to keep releasing singles until they had say 10 tracks, would that then be conveniently packaged into an album?

Slash said there is one or two and then another one or two, if you include Hardschool and Absurd that's 6 so not really enough for an album.

they should just drop the next 4 as an EP.

However some people at the Glasgo gig and at a few shows since have mentioned they have seen extra people filming that appear to be separate from the normal big screen video stuff. That coupled with that KOHD clip at the start of the tour that actually sounded well mixed make me think a live album/blu ray could be on the cards. Or at least maybe live tracks as extra tracks on a Perhaps EP or something.

That seems far more likely and achievable than an actual album. I get the whole "nothings going to happen" assumption from the fan base but sometimes 2 add 2 does make 4 even in GN'R world.

lol and before anyone suggests The Garden that has not been soundchecked or appeared on any other lists

But The General has been on that list that was shot by that journalist and then removed.

Also Duff's "possibly this week" comment in that story was not removed by TB after all. Someone contacted the site and they had a crash which resulted in some stories linking to 404's The full interview with Duff will be German man soon/ish

They are stills from a video uploaded today during the gig https://www.instagram.com/stories/gunsn … 027977365/

you see a flick through the list that the guy at soundboard has. Doesn't mean there about to be played, but the soundman has obviously has notes on how to prep for those songs going off that. So it's inevitable i would say.

if the guy running sound has notes on what to do for those songs then thats a stage past them being soundchecked

That 'Tim' Pittman was all over the leaks!

yeah I laughed out loud at that haha. I like how he makes out he has exclusive material thats in the hands of only a few when most of the tunes he is talking about are on Youtube. I think Ricks gonna go on.

Looks like this youtuber has done a video on the locker leaks. Rick is in the comments section and the guy has invited him on the show

Yeah thats right. It's thanks to you that we have much of the info we do.

"As far as the songs go: 'Oklahoma' was pretty much written by the time they got to the studio. Axl  wrote that with inspiration from the Oklahoma City bombing (more as a tribute to those who died, if I'm not mistaken).(Dave Dominguez, Sp1at, 02/07/05).

It was inspired by a court date with ex-wife Erin Everly. ''I was sitting in litigation with my ex-wife,  and it was the day after the bombing,'' .'' (Axl Rolling Stone. 2000)  That was two days after Duff and Izzy recorded Toothpuller, Machine gun, down by the sea in April 95

“I was a staff engineer at Rumbo Recorders and was about to quit or lose my mind . I thought it was time to get what clients I had (practically none) and get out. The manager came to me and said Guns was coming in to do their next record and they had no producer or engineer and that needed someone with experience so I said "yes" and she also said they would be writing for two months and then recording for two months and they would be it (haha) seven months later. I bailed on good terms with Axl and the band but not with the studio”.(David Dominguez Sp1at)

“Most of the songs had working titles but I know that "Oklahoma" and "Ides of March" were songs that were almost complete.(David Dominguez Sp1at)

“Some were three seconds long, some were three minutes long. Sometimes it was just a guitar lick. ‘Oh, that’s cool.’ They were transferred to CD. Everything had an ID and a number, then the CDs were made for each member of the band. They could go, OK, on set four, CD three, idea 15, let’s do something with that.’ Then everybody would take their CD home, get the part and write something to that. It was intense.(David Dominguez Producer 2010.12.DD - What's On Dubai)

I believe the ID system is on the locker leak discs too. The Rebel is J587 278 for example, makes me wonder how many of those discs there were in total

Ahh, that's cool and quite detailed. It was such a long time ago now lol.

I was doing alot of promoting years ago, so it was a fun thing on the side. The promoter game was a stress so it was good to do something else. When promoting, you are putting your own money out there and you only break even if 90% of the tickets are sold, then you make a bit extra from merch and refreshments. Ticket master make more because they own the venues so it's hard to compete

Thanks man, who did you promote? Anyone we know?
