I hope the bands creativity for these shows extends further than the venue/promoter who just seem to be slapping the same image everywhere - doors, walls, taxis, tshirts etc

Id like to see Axl collaborate with his own band FFS!

Outside of the normal suspects I don't know who would fit Axl.

When Team Brazil get him into a studio with the band I'll be impressed

I'm expecting very little, to be honest... Perhaps a more laid back set, like the weddings or the UCAP tour with a few songs thrown in, that haven't been played yet or in a long time, such as My Michelle, Think About You, Outta Get Me, perhaps we get to finally hear Perfect Crime, perhaps we get to have Izzy and another round of 14 Years and maybe Dust N' Bones (altough I doubt it, since it's a Slash and Duff song as well, that Axl had no input, differently from 14Y).

Perhaps on one of the nights off we get some rare stuff from CD - I'm thinking Scraped, Prostitute - and Oh My God.

This is my BEST CASE scenario.

'like they have never done before or will ever do again' - marketing hype

There's always some line before or at the start of a tour promising the earth, but they never quite deliver. It would be nice to see them actually push the boat out for once. But that would probably take lots of practice, and Axl will probably do his normal routine and turn up the day of the first show.

Fly in bucket for Halloween, that would be cool!:headbang:

In my opinion, the only way a re-release would make sense is if he packages it with the "alleged" second album of songs from the old recording sessions. Give the fans 2 albums for the price of one or simply do a boxset for the hardcores.

A single release with no extras would be silly...which measns it will happen!:haha:

I completely agree with you. I think that they shouldn't tamper with the remaining songs off the CD sessions, in fact they should take off Bumblefoot / Frank parts if they can. Then start afresh and see what they've got to offer.

Thinking out loud here - strip out as much crap as possible. If its a double CD how about reorder the tracks so that all of the more 'progressive/industrial' harder tracks (oh my god, rhiad, silkworms) are bundled together and the more classic tracks presented separately, perhaps with Brian May's contribution included this time. Bung on a copy of 'sailing', Back in the USSR and whole lotta rosie and there you have it a nice big box set for xmas

This has really captured my interest.

What a great way to promote your music and help avoid downloading (in a positive way).

GNR seem to be doing everything now other than releasing new music. I still think they should release as much as they can under a new album or re-release, close the lid on Democracy and then just move on with the new band.

I'm sure the Vegas shows will make a great night out though.

Maybe uni will agree to another album for a cut of the touring revenue
