What does Ron have to do with it? He plays guitar.
If Ron is going to leave, then it would make it that much easier for Tommy to leave as well since it will take god knows how long to find replacement for Ron, Axl could just find a replacement for Tommy at the same time.

Why is Tommy still in the band?
IF the mats reunite and they have been playing shows together, I could see him leaving soon, especially if the rumors are true that Ron is leaving after Vegas.

I always felt the solo in sorry is perhaps the best one minus TWAT on the record. Very bluesy and soulful.
I agree, I love the music in sorry, its just the lyrics that ruin it for me.
It could have been a great song with better lyrics

Also, kind of the reverse of what you asked for but Evader did remix Sorry. It removed the awesome music and left Axls vocals

The lyrics may not be his absolute best, but nor are they particularly sub par. The content is very typical Axl.
You could have Michael Bay direct the video and it would still not be a hit because the industry never wanted it to be.
If the songs on CD were great they would have been hits but they were mostly all overproduced and it took so long it had to be a perfect album like AFD to be a hit.
If CD was released in 2002 less produced it probably would have faired much better.
Sorry lyrics IMO are just horrible, its alway wollowing in self pity, thinking the whole world is out to get him.
Sorry could have been a huge hit if the lyrics were on par with his great songs and if it was released as a single.

I was listening to my iTunes on random and sorry came on.
I forgot how amazing the melody and even the chorus was on this song, Bucketheads work is killer on this song and Axl even sounds great but his childish lyrics just kill the song.
this song could have been a huge hit if the lyrics were not so lame. I really wish Axl would written better lyrics for this song.
And some of the lyrics in the song aren't that bad but some are just awful like

I agree, he had BH and Robin who complemented each other very well, they were so different and unique.
Ron and DJ are so generic and boring. I really hope we get the CD left over sessions sometime but the versions with Robin and BH not DJ and Ron.

how...in the world...do they keep getting booked as headliners in the US? Don't get me wrong, if they come to MA I'll gladly go see them because I love concerts and I'm a diehard, but seriously, I don't understand how this keeps happening. When they tour the US, they play to 1/2-3/4 full 15000 seat arenas.
Did you see all the crap or has been bands on that list? Which one of them would headline over Axl? And few bands on that list that are decent wouldn't headline (like BLS) so who else would you pick? Its not like they are headlining over a band like Muse or anything.
Plus I could see Axl saying, well if I don't headline i am not playing.
