Yeah, I just finished it up.
It makes me love him even more and makes me want to work even harder.
I needed this.

I love Buckethead so much.
It brings me to tears hearing about this.
I hope we see an outpouring of support, donations, and love from the public on this.
It'd be great if we saw Axl reach out and bring him on tour.

It's cool they played Madagascar.
A favorite of mine, Axl sounded pretty good too.

I don't know what's more surprising: the drunken Axl v Fernando accidental release debacle or the fact that the record company actually was cool with releasing Appetite For Democracy.
I'll go with the latter. Dreadful.

GNR's Knockin is a complete embarrassment. Turning a soulful meditative song into an anthem of mindless stupidity.
2002 is superior for the obvious reasons. Bucket's playing another.

We or at least I am repeating myself on generally all topics, so I'm gonna go hibernate for awhile.
But Axl had two weeks of downtime to not get sick and rest his voice.
And this is his 5th Rock In Rio. There was at least an hour between The Who and them. They weren't changing trussing and shit like that either. If there are technical issues, the dog ate my mixing board isn't gonna cut it. (It could possibly be that Caram wasn't running voodoo on his voice because RIR had it's own techs but point stands firm).
I'll check back in later this winter, friends. Have fun!

The negativity hasn't just been us hardcores for awhile.
The ticket prices, setlist, fashion cross branding event, gag order, and lack of new music have all been flooded in comments sections.
Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion...

I doubt we're getting other CD songs because they're hard for Axl to sing or probably old anti-Slash demon juju.
And speaking of juju, that seems to me the reason for the no Izzy song thing. Then again those were never played in the Chinese era either.
But too true. Now that Axl is in AC/DC, playing those seems a bit distasteful. That's your other job mate, leave that there, you're on Guns time.
"I don't work for you" yeah yeah Axl I know.

It's a thin discography.
The three songs that have larger appeal that get rotated in and out are Patience, Don't Cry, and probably You're Crazy. A couple AFD songs either don't get played or don't get played consistently but those are largely esoteric unless you have a hard-on for Out Ta Get Me or your name's Michelle.
If you remove the covers, you're looking at a 20-22 song set which is pretty average. But some of us hate LALD and KOHD out of principle or fatigue and never liked The Spaghetti Incident any way. And now we have MORE covers.
The main problem, imo, is GN'R isn't a band anymore, it's a corporate timeshare, and fans are getting wise.

Serious question....
Yes and no.
The setlist changing gives the impression of life and vibrancy.
The Stones put on one of the best shows. When I saw them in 2005, it was 20% their new album. Old Keef even got two songs on vocals. Their show is usually the core of the hits, some deep cuts, and some new stuff. The opener and closer were constantly changing throughout the tour.
I don't think people would choose to hear A Bigger Bang over Exile On Main St or "Bitch" over "Wild Horses" or whatever but again it keeps it fresh and special. I got to see Riad in 2002 and random fans still go "aww, lucky!" every time I tell em. The more rare Chinese songs performed a similar function last year.
I think the whole band is just a little long in the tooth.
