It's looking more and more likely this thing. Every box keep getting checked.
I think so. It's just a case of letting nature takes it's course now and see what happens then we'll take it from there.

I have had confirmation Pearl Jam are not playing Coachella
#583 Re: Guns N' Roses » Coachella Festival profile and rumours » 508 weeks ago
Looking more at the Pearl Jam/Bonaroo leak. Consequence of Sound have found this out through a source linked to the band rather than the festival. One would presume, therefore, if PJ were playing Coachella, this would have been revealed as well. Logically, therefore, we can rule PJ out

Previous announcement dates for Coachella;
2006 - Jan 31st
2007 - Jan 22nd
2008 - Jan 22nd
2009 - Jan 30th
2010 - Jan 19th
2011 - Jan 19th
2012 - Jan 9th
2013 - Jan 21st
2014 - Jan 8th
2015 - Jan 6th
The announcements have been earlier recently, but seven out of the last ten have happened in the second half of January

Has a band ever headlined Bonnaroo and Coachella in the same year? I have not checked
For me, I would say there is now a good case for GN'R to be at Coachella. If they are reforming, this is where they will get the most money. Bonaroo appear to want to announce Pearl Jam before Pearl Jam announce themselves, so that gives an indication of the mindset of the promoters.
All the people who are chatty are not chatty just now. Sorum and co I can speak to anytime, not speaking. AEG are always more chatty that livenation, but there is a widespread silence there right now whereas livenation are chatty. Dizzy, not speaking. Slash manager and his admin, chatty normally, notso now. The list goes on.
But, with Pearl Jam touring, Tool touring etc, and the fact that LCD could be regarded as a rock band option, I still wouldn't be confident enough to buy a ticket just yet. I am more confident though that at the beginning of the process where the best guess was Iron Maiden
I think in terms of investigating this, I may wait now until Coachella is announced because people may become a bit more open about plans etc.. It may be that GN'R are doing something, but we are looking at the wrong festival.
#586 Re: Guns N' Roses » Buckmaster-Beltrami on Chinese Democracy » 508 weeks ago
The credits on CD are full of errors, so that is an aspect to look at.
So, We can break this down into two questions.
Firstly, we ask the band if Beltrami being listed on the Buckmaster tracks is an error. Then we ask Beltrami, did he return later on to work on the songs that Buckmaster had worked on earlier?
Does that sound right before I do it?
--> I got someone else to ask the band the first question for now

I have summarised what I can for now about Coachella in the first post.
So the next questions are, when are the US dates, and what is the shape of the European tour. So far, we have an offer from Rock in Rio, I have one link to Roskilde, we have Slane in Ireland which I presume will happen near to the Reading festival.

Well, that completes the Coachella profile. The last thing we needed was behavioural changes in Slash and Duff, and the Eddie Trunk interview is brilliant for that. So:
We know GN'R are doing something, Fernando confirmed that on the forums in August.
We know that the Coachella promoter wants GN'R at the festival, that there is standing offer of 8 million dollars and would pay copious amounts of money to get them at the festival.
We have chatter from other promoters interested in booking GN'R.
We have the necessary wall of silence from appropriate managers and promoters.
We know the rumours for Coachella in December are usually correct for January based on history
We have ruled out 90 per cent of the competition
The wall of silence is indicating possible supporting concerts at large venues and one small venue (something that needs worked on though)
Slash and Duff have gone from openly talking about GN'R, to refusing to talk about GN'R in interviews, to now avoiding friends.
I'll update the first page profile when I get time, and we'll move on to supporting US shows for a week or two

More on the wall of silence; I post this because it is relevant to the thread.
This is from a poster Ifdworld at mygnrforum. The post is here http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?/to … s/page-177
This is the post;
Now yesterday i was hearing Dean Del Ray's podcast that just came out, and he is a big GN'R fan and supporter of Axl. He has been talking a lot about these rumours and his guest is none other than eddie trunk, so i knew they'd talk about GN'R. And they did, at the very last part of the show, last 15 minutes or something.
But basically dean's question to Eddie is, do you think it will happen, his response is epic.
Not only does he believe it will happen he thinks it might be imminent, because he has a personal relationship with the guys in the band, not just business but they hang out, they send texts back and fourth, they have lunch together whenever they're in the same town, whatever ,it's public knowledge, but recently none of them are available to do anything, they even stopped responding to text messages. Even Steven Adler who always wants to be on and talk is silent, same with matt sorum, Duff is not responding to any text message and so is slash who is also a personal friend of eddie. This never happened before, therefor an announcement should be imminent and they all have gag orders. and based on all the people taking about the future concerts, it's not difficult to connect the dots. i think they might be waiting for coachella, i really hope so, but listen for yourselves and see what you think.

So far, I have had the wall of silence from the bigger venues, so that is a good sign. Remember I contacted the medium sized arenas and I got a no from all of them.
Something else that is interesting, I have been poking around at smaller venues, ones they visited in 1986, and they have all responded bar The Roxy (wall of silence again). Now, The Roxy is owned by Goldenvoice, the same company that runs Coachella, and the radius clause in the Coachella contract states that the only concerts that can be played in LA around the time of the festival are ones owned by Goldenvoice. The band are likely to need somewhere to practice I would have thought.
Regarding the wall of silence, I have spoken with multiple people, had responses, the moment I mention anything slightly to do with the reunion, wall of silence. It is becoming a common factor.
I've had a quick look at interviews, up until May/June, Slash was openly answering questions about GN'R, come July August, the answers were more muted, September onwards, there have been refusals to talk about GN'R. I think most of you have seen that though
Pearl Jam are not responding to questions about Coachella, so they remain in the frame. However, a list of dates was leaked a couple of months back, and although they were touring in April, there was no window for Coachella. It is their 25th anniversary however, so we cannot rule them out completely
