I bet that the sales won't go drastically high after the 6-month exclusive deal expires. I wonder if the album will go platinum in a year.
I think it will go Platinum AND I think Axl and Azoff are waiting for the Best Buy deal to expire before they do a major tour or any major promotion. I know this would be my strategy...

this list sucks Though, I love Freddy Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrision. Led Zeppelin (all members) The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, etc, I could name many more ( Including Freddy) are rock GODS! Bon Jovi is a rockstar and so are many of these fools, but they are FAR from GODS!
this list is really weak...

I think you nailed it James. This is what will happen.
But, for a mere 0.30c the song will be license free. I'll take that trade... It's about time record companies do this.

If you visit the main page of the itunes store you will see that the following albums are featured as new/featured releases. Every artist that was released in Nov/Dec are listed except GNR!! What bogus crap
you will see:
Kanye West
The Killers
Taylor Swift
and even M.I.A.
WTF?! It's like CD came out two years ago or something. The Best Buy exclusive screwed them, but now itunes is ignoring them...

Howdy Bumble,
I find the ecletic nature of your solo work to be inspirational, and I actually wrote a song after listening to your solo CD.
I enjoy your guitar work immensely, and given your non-rockstar nature, I thought you may appreciate hearing something that one of your admirers came up with after getting heavily into your solo work.
I wrote a song about how cats can be pains in the asses as pets, as well as the similarities between an unresponsive lover and a feline.
In the chorus section, I used the voice of the cat from the Disney movie, "The Cat from Outer Space" as an homage, and as the cat's response to it's accusation from it's human owners. The cat's duality in it's nature and all that.
Would you be willing to solo over it for me? I can pay you like, I dunno, five bucks or I could send you some bitchin' New Mexico salsa.
It's an acoustic track and could use some bitchin' Bumble guitar.
Here it is, in unmixed form. I didn't allow myself to overdub or edit once we turned on Logic, so it's really rough, but I think that is it's charm.

Thanks.

Song writers do it like that. They want the listener to connect to the song on their level, connect it to their life, their stories. It's what seperates a good song writer from a bad one.
Bob Dylan is a master at doing this.

When I listen to the song, I think about the assholes in my family, that have stirred bullshit in my life for years.
That was my first reaction to hearing the completed version on the album in a car stereo.
Me too! That was my 1st impression and I still tend to think in that direction.
