ChiDem chorus and Shackler's guitar solo keeps revolving in my head lately.

Tommy is the man, no doubt about that. he was the soul of "NewGNR", together with Robin and to some extent, Buckethead and Josh Freese. and also as a person, he's always been cool.

They should add Light My Fire to the setlist and they will become a full blown cover band.

very solid performance, too bad the end is too much Mickey and no rasp. but on this particular occasion, I don't care too much actually smile

this stupid "it's the anniversary" thing has been running since... like... the 1990's. yeah, it might be a nice marketing idea, but remember - nothing in the GNR world is going according to marketing or even common sense. so I'd not hold my breath.

regarding IRS, I don't think we're near hearing it again. it got dropped from the setlist much earlier than 2016 - last played in 2010. http://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/guns- … song=I.R.S.

I've always thought the 2006 Rock Am Ring performance of I.R.S. was the best live version of the track ever. Axl's vocals oozed passion and attitude in that performance.

His scream is the only downside.

The mix of that is also awesome with Tommy's bass high in the mix.

yup, that performance was almost godlike! the beginning was like 3,5/5, but since the first solo, it was full 5/5!

I commented at GNRTruth forum in a similar manner, that his vocals at BHS are horrible. got assaulted by crew, so I pulled out and deleted my account. looks like even HTGTH allows more criticism nowadays, lol!
and yes, his vocals sound totally destroyed lately. the last time he sounded great was probably 2010. and also at Axl/DC tour, which is embarassing. yes, I know that AC/DC songs demand completely different way to sing (or rather scream out), and he nailed it. on the contrary, his vocals at GNR tour are the main reason why I just can't listen to it, it hurts me a lot sad
the band has always been super tight, no matter if it was Robin/BBF, Ashba/BBF or Slash/Richard, the vocals are just full and tired Mickey, as much as I hate to say it, but it's true sad

so this again confirms the story about AXL band already existing in Lafayette, cool! smile
