I saw this band last night. Really good fun a mix of different music styles. If they come near you (UK) go see them!

But that's exactly why I did it.
I don't give a shit about a belt buckle or whatever - if I want one I can probably get it cheaper on ebay...what I'd like is the band to survive and make new recordings and stuff.
My way of looking at it is that if the fan club income means Axl isn't working at wall-mart, or is less reliant on making a deal with some label suits, then he's more likely to get to a place where he wants to share his songs with us again.
For a normal band I think the opposite is true. Take away their income, they'd get desperate, compromise, do stuff. But I'm not sure for Axl. He seems to be into the death before reunion and so on. I think if it gets too hard to release music again he'll just make it privately and not share it. So I'm doing what I can to crowd fund it and show some love.
That just reinforces the behaviour. If they genuinely believe that's a good deal they need to know it isn't. If they're pulling a fast one they need to know people aren't prepared to put up with it.

Desperate times.
Any snippet about cd would have been jumped on and analysed over and over

I agree about getting the band together to write - just reading Duff book and that sense of camaraderie and hunger really comes through.

LOL. THEY COULD HAVE THROWN IN THE CANDLE HOLDER FOR FUCK SAKE. Have to say I've never been tempted by the gnr fanclub or VIP tickets.
If the release of music is anything to go buy (damaged vinyl, wrong artwork, tracks leaked, no promotion, b sides etc) I have no confidence in the bands management to produce something of value. They put on a good show though and I thought the club gigs were a great idea.
To sign up something like this to give the band support is also the worst thing you can do. Were all grown up now and a couple of tshirts and an old belt buckle ain't gonna cut the mustard.
A signed version of canter's book, a framed live action photo of the new band, remix of cd, exclusive tracks, branded jagermeistr bottle for some pre gig fun, these are the sort of things is want for shelling out my hard earned money.

Always wanted to hear what this album would have sounded like. Lyrics on the level of his best UYI work and a new distinct sound. One of the heaviest songs ever produced under the moniker.
I have so MANY mixed emotions about Oh My God. Clearly sounds like a draft, inconsistent and lacks a hook but in the other hand is so far away from what we've got on Chinese that it makes me wonder the type and quality of the material on the vault.
I'd really like to hear that dark experimental album. Its just so different from what we're used to from GNR.
Even if they don't release an album like this I wish they'd release the albums through the fanclub or something. Would make it worth subscribing to.

Does anybody LIKE this song? I was never a fan, BUT this performance is the closest to BAD ASS that i've seen/heard.
Total fuckin' garage band moment
If someone invents time travel in my life time, and resells tickets to that gig, lord only knows how much I'd pay. Just for the raw energy alone.

I agree if Axl won't show then why shouldn't the others play with Myles.
As much as people are upset with steve, the fact hes ok to play with matt sorum is pretty cool by me. Credit where credit's due.
Izzy not showing - lame. Especially if it cos of Axl

So will Ashba, bumblefoot and Stinson now come out and thank Axl publically for his support of the new band?
