Ron sucks at writing songs, so if anyone is going to it will be DJ, his guitar work on sixx am is good

Yeah, it's an interesting idea, I mean i really like the full version too, as it's kind of unusual for albums to have so many layers, it makes it quite a journey when you listen from start to finish. I know a lot of people hate it but I think it has it's own place.
But a stripped down version would be interesting. I'd love to hear what the songs would be like with a smaller band...like just frank, richard, tommy, axl and bumble.
Its not that CD has layers, that is not a bad thing, but when you have one solo consist of 3 different guitar players or parts pasted together, it gets a little silly.
Thats why I still really want to hear the 2002 verison of this album before Axl started to add layer after layer. It seems like after Axl had the skelton of the song, he just started pasting cool guitar bits onto the songs and that doesnt make a song better.
Even the UYI demos are better than the album versions, just take Dont Cry, Back off bitch and the garden for example.

Never heard that Peter Gabriel song... number 2 seems kinda high imo.
Hell MJ could've had at least 3 or 4 top 10 videos with Thriller,Beat it, Billie Jean and The Way You make Me Feel.
Really? How old are you? It was always a huge video on MTV back in the day.
My question is what is so great about the nirvana video? Its just a friggen gym and the band playing. Just more proof how overrated nirvana is.

quite frankly, the forum territorial shit is disturbing. If I was Axl, I would stay away as far as I could. Dylan doesn't do that shit.....Jagger? No. It is the lunatic fringe.
We hava a nice, tight little community...differing opinions, but in the end, mostly respectful of each other. The bigger the forum, the more crap that is spewed. It's the Law of Averages.
Axl is the reason mygnr and jarmo are run the way they are. Axl/Beta is behind it. You havent seen Axl or Beta on the forums berating posters before?

Nice work.
These kind of accoustic covers show how great the melodies and basic songs are I always think.
TWAT is really a beautiful song....the "I would do anything" part always gets me...
THat is why CD would have been much better stripped down.

How do we know that he is not already footing the bill for HTGTH, he may have been doing that for a long time for all we know? I mean does Jarmo even have a job, if he does it must be pretty flexible since he seems to have the time to do the majority of the moderating over there plus take weeks off at a time to go on some of the GNR tours?
Maybe they just decided to take the next step and put their finger in the pie of the biggest GNR forum (by member numbers).
Or maybe they just responded to Eric and said they would be nicer to him going forward and communicate more etc. So he does his backflip and says some donor saved the day yet in reality Eric is just going to continue meeting the costs himself?
Either scenario is plausible.
Its a known fact Axl is helping Jarmo pay for HTGTH.

This was pointed out on MyGNR.
Eric said in his original "closing" statement, that it was about more than just the money, that the lack of support, even animosity, from the GN'R camp played a role.
But, now, an anonymous donor offers to cover the costs, and suddenly Eric wants to continue for the foreseeable future.
Doesn't that imply that it was in fact ALL about the financial concerns if the moment the financial concerns are relieved, Eric decides he wants to continue with the forum?
Ali
Yes.
And I would not be suprised if the Gnr camp is the one footing the bill now because there is no way they wanted free speech at that site, its too big.
If Eric was not going to just close it and not sell to UK Subs then I bet he never would have gotten that doner but since UK was going to buy it and unban everyone that Eric, the nazi mods and beta banned, axl think it wold make him look bad. So they bought it and are going to keep eric in control, just watch how censored place will be now.
IT willl be htgth lite
#629 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 740 weeks ago
Yeah so much for a fresh start and all the banned long time members getting unbanned.
Eric is a joke, it was always about the money, it has to be Gnr who is flipping the bill to control the info flow from a huge Gnr site.
They didnt want mygnr to become uncensored like it would have been if Eric stepped down.

Not to mention people have gotten banned at jarmos for PMs
