I saw them at Giants Stadium during their Have a Nice Day tour. I sang along to every song, including the b sides that most people didn't know. Jon and the boys rocked as always, but I put on quite a show myself. wink big_smile

I'm liking "Into the Echo" which is a bonus track on the special edition.  Nice melody and guitar riff.  I'm dissapointed the special edition in the US only has one of the two solo songs Jon did for the Stand Up Guys soundtrack.  hmm

Whats Ironic is, Bon Jovi survived Grunge by not CHASING trends... and now that seem to be exactly what they are doing...

I honestly don't mind that they do.  The Beatles did it, the Stones did it, Aerosmith did it.  They're in good company.  I just don't happen to like this trend.  But it still sounds like Bon Jovi, so I can still dig it.  This just isn't going to be my favorite BJ album is all.

I'm on my third listen.  This time around I put it in a playlist w/ Richie's Aftermath and hit suffle.  I have to say, I'm enjoying it much more this way.

Early impressions (I'm only most of the way through the first listen): No matter what he writes, Jon seems to write songs that are enjoyable on some level. It's good to me to hear his voice.

But the album lacks guitars. It's heavily synthed and orchestrated. There's a lot of slower numbers, and the faster ones have an MOR sound to the production.

Army of One is a highlight. Amen manages to be pretty good. I'm going to need to give it more listens to fully absorb it. It's worth a fiver for sure.

Seems like alot of hard rock acts have tried, or are trying, to put out stuff with less guitar.  Never seems to be popular though, wish they'd give it up already.  It's like they're trying to force a trend that isn't going to happen.

I have to get to listening to this. I still have to get to the new Bowie as well.

Lol, I just read through the recent Aerosmith thread, and you said the same think about MfaD four times before giving it up. I have a feeling history might repeat itself here.

I haven't listened to MfaD yet either, I'm more of a BJ fan. (and the band's ok too)
