Yeah if Dont Damn Me had zero guitar riff
I didn't say anything about it sounding like "Don't Damn Me". It reminds me of that song in terms of it's feel and attitude.

I love IRS
I fucking love that song. I said it before and I'll say it again, it's reminiscent of "Don't Damn Me" for me, and it feels like an evolution of that type of song. I love the song. I love it slightly less than "Don't Damn Me".

twat is their best song and should have been the lead single.....
I love the song, but I don't think it would've worked as a single given it's length and more complex structure than the traditional radio-friendly song.
I still think "Better" should've been the first single.

That shot of Axl during the last seconds of Paradise City. Can't help but imagine what he's thinking when finishing off that song and looking out into that massive crowd of people. It's sort of funny to watch it and hear people say "Axl's so finished".
I don't understand. Are you saying "it's funny" because it confirms or disproves what people say about Axl being finished?
I know I'm in the minority, but the 2011/2002 airy head voice that Axl uses, although it is lighter and airier is also cleaner in its tone, and I do like that. I like the clean vocal sound.

I think some CD songs like ITW song even better live.
I think that sounds great live. "This I Love" really hit home for me after seeing some of the performances on the 2010 Canadian tour. "I.R.S." is another one I think is better live. I dig "Shackler's Revenge" live, too. I would say "Chinese Democracy" sounds better live, too, actually.

Actually I thought Axl said in the 1990s that it's been questioned if he was manic depressive by some, but he doesn't think it's a correct diagnosis, and that he found that lithum doesn't work for his troubles.
That's my memory of it.
Not trying to nitpick - just you have to be very careful with the way Axl chooses his words - the impression I got wasn't that he was claiming he really is manic depressive (bi-polar).
I had an ex-girlfriend that had Borderline Personality Disorder, and in working out how to best deal with that and help her I read a few books about it, and I must say elements of that illness really reminded me of some of what we know of Axl. Apparently it's much more common in women than men though, but after reading that book I'd be more likely to stamp an illness like that on him over bio-polar illness if I was going to armchair diagonse at all. But i do think we don't have enough knowledge of what he is like in his private life to really know.
Also for the record, I don't much care what's "wrong" with him - other than I feel sorry for him that he appears to experience a lot of anguish at times (I interpret anger as sadness/frustration gone bad)- but I do think he writes beautiful songs. Just saying - like even if we could prove he had a mental illness - so what really - just shows that people with mental illness can still achieve great things in their lives - and if anything it would mean the fan base could cut him a little more slack in terms of being critical.
I have read as well that Borderline Personality Disorder is more common in women than in men, and it is often misdiagnosed as bipolar disorder.

Only a fool would diagnose people from watching YouTube, Doctor.
Only a fool would think that being a fan for 20+ years and following the guy's actions all through the decades isn't enough to make a valid opinion. I hate this 'you have never met him, so you don't know shit about him' stupid lie. Historians make portraits of long dead people from a different age with less knowledge than I have about Axl. So either find something to back your opinion or shut up.
No doctor would ever attempt to diagnose someone they've never met. And, yes, I've had this discussion with people in the field of psychiatry.
Being a fan is not the same thing as knowing someone. Following SOME of a person's actions, especially those only limited to the public arena through the filter of someone's profession, isn't the same thing as witnessing their actions first hand on a day to day basis.
I think it is foolish to confuse being a fan for being a friend or even acquaintance, and following a limited number and scope of someone's actions for following a significant number number of someone's actions without any scope limitations.

From MisterSaintLaurent on February:
http://mistersaintlaurent.proboards.com … thread=346A full North American arena tour and Best Buy exclusive reissue of Chinese Democracy would both launch on March 29. The tour would run through May 17 and hit 30 markets, including NY, LA, Vegas, Ft. Lauderdale, Boston, Detroit, Toronto, Indianapolis, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Tampa, Philly, DC, Denver, San Jose, Calgary, Winnipeg, Omaha and Houston.
30 dates. Yep. All announced dates so far are on that list.
But why is Doc McGhee having so much trouble finalizing a North American tour? Multiple sponsors have already signed on, including John Varvatos, Bloomingdales and Deleon Tequila. Companies such as Monster Energy and Harley-Davidson have had discussions with GNR as well about sponsoring a tour.
Monster Energy Drink, yep. John Varvatos, yep. They have Guns N' Roses t-shirts on their new collection, the ones with the tour logo.
From his video:
Atlas
Cuban Skies
Going Down
Jackie Chan
Light My Fire
Monstrosity
Silk Worms
Soul Monster
The General
Thyme
TontoGoing Down. Big yep!
Well, we've all seen that Guns N' Roses has being testing new stage set on South America. Maybe they wanna get in US with full power. With Axl rehearsaled and the stage tested.
And don't forget: Chinese Democracy has being vanished from US for sometime now. Like if it had never been released.
No Ft. Lauderdale, no Toronto, no Calgary, no Winniped, no San Jose (yet), no Phoenix (yet), no DC. No Varvatos, no Bloomingdales, no Deleon Tequila and no Harley Davidson as tour sponsors. Only Monster Energy Drink.
Going Down is accurate (assuming of course it isn't "Ain't Goin' Down" ).
You are being way too generous in your assessment of the accuracy of what MSL said. You are only looking part of the picture, not the whole picture.

even those are unrealistic expectations
i half expect ali or naltav to come on & castigate you for expecting a "decent crowd" when we all know the eventual poor attendance in the states is basically down to modern technology!
Castigate? No, no castigating occurring here
