Yeah basically. I am in a shitty spot. I am completely sober so my friends instead of backing me decide to stab me in the back time and time again. So basically I have found myself kicking people out of my life who shouldn't be there and the ones who should have fucked me over so I really don't trust anyone and it's not a good place for me too. It's a trigger that is almost being pulled for me to go out and get high again. I'm holding on but shit is just depressing basically.

For how long have you been sober? Shittiest thing about sobering up by yourself is the need to find a whole new social circle at a time when your at your most vulnerable. Sucks balls, but I suppose it's worth it, right? hmm

That's just to make your own custom songs in an alternate (non rockband native format). They still haven't cracked harmonix' audio encryption method, so this is of no use for official content.

Yeah, Stone Sour is fuckin' great. Own both CD's and love both of them. One of the only bands with a nu-metal influence I consider worthy enough to spend money on smile.

I just read up on a few classics. Orwell's Animal Farm (1984 is my favorite book of all time) & Kafka's Metamorphosis (and other short stories). Just started reading Child 44, but I'm having trouble getting into it.

That's some funny stuff. Imagine selling a guitar on e-bay and having Slash turn up to test it out... The guy with all the crap for sale was funny as hell.

Corey Taylor of Slipknot recently joined Duff's band Loaded on tour in America. There was a rumor that Corey would be the next VR singer. We checked that with SLASH, and he said it looked like it for a minute, but they had decided against it.

What? That's fucked up man, he would've been perfect for the job. Great fuckin' frontman and awesome pipes

1. Steven hadn't done his drums yet, and it would be odd to track the guitars before drums, especially with a player like steven who is more of a 'live' player and less likely to use clicks etc.

I'd bet Freese and whoever the Bass player was came in as session guys and laid down something for all the tracks, then he can bring anybody else he wants in and just replace their parts.

Almost all records are tracked with click these days. We usually do some scratch tracks with drum & guitar recorded at the same time to the click and start replacing each instrument one-by-one with it's permanent version afterwards. Vocals usually come last, but the rest of the instruments are done in any which order seems most convenient for us at the time. So yeah, the above seems plausible. I'm hopeful smile.

Hmm.... Someone I know told me they read on Idol forums that GNR perform. I was like "Um... no." Maybe Slash will play on a GNR tune or something?

Would Axl have to OK Slash playing a GNR song on American Idol?  If so, I'd say there's no way that'll happen.

No, he doesn't. Anyone can cover anyone's music live as long as they pay the royalties. Even better, Slash doesn't have to pay any royalties on any music he has a writing credit on.
