sorry if this has already been posted but apparantly skwerl has posted on another site that song#2 IS prostitute because he is being charged for violation of its copyright.

So there!

Well that should fucking settle it then. Seriously, I don't see how anyone could get the lyrics that Neemo got out of it. There's clearly a "prost" sound in there. I just listened to it cranked way the hell up and it's obvious.

I can somewhat hear the "prost" part, it's the "itute" I have trouble making out.  16

Neemo wrote:

What song did you listen to Neemo?

the one where he sings...

"ask yourself what i would do
to drag me down myself
to live with fortune and shame"

or something i dunno what the fuck hes says but i dont think he says prostitute at all tongue

You get THAT out of those lyrics?!?!?!?

WOW

I'm with Neemo on the lyrics.  I think it sounds more like drag me down than prostitute.  BUT, all signs point to song 2 being Prostitute at this time.

faldor made a comment about songs being played off UYI before it was released too and that reminded me that all of these songs were played off UYI before it was released as far as I can recall:

Right Next Door To Hell
Perfect Crime
Estranged
November Rain
Pretty Tied Up
Live And Let Die
Don't Cry
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Civil War
Bad Obssesion
Back Off Bitch
You Could Be Mine
14 Years

That's 13 out of 30.

I know, and yet people were screaming for the band to play MORE new songs at the shows during 06/07, yet now are pissed the songs they've heard are on the album.  Which is it?  You can't have it both ways.  You want to hear new music live, not AFD rehashed.  Yet you want even NEWER music on CD.  I guess once a song is played live, it shouldn't be released?  I don't know about you guys, but lots of studio tracks sound much different than the live versions and I more often than not enjoy the studio versions more.  So I'm excited to hear the final versions of the songs.  Shouldn't we all be?

we're getting at least 3 new songs. i'm really glad CITR is on there too. that's classic stuff.

I.R.S. and Shackler's are two of my favorite songs. i'd be really disappointed if they weren't on there.

i'm not a big fan of the blues. i got excited when i didn't see it at first. we can't be 100% sure, but it's probably 99% certain that that is the blues.

as for prostitute, it's very likely, but i'm not assuming anything about Song #2 at this point.

first single should be the title track IMO.

Agreed, I love I.R.S. and Shackler's too.  Like tejas said earlier, and I'm kind of surprised he did as prior to that he seemed to be slamming the quality of the tracks we've heard illegally.  We all have our own opinions.  Some don't care much for IRS, some Song 2, some Maddy, etc., etc.  The complaints that we're hearing about songs we've illegally downloaded is ridiciulous, stop it now.  And then you complain the songs aren't good enough, well that's YOUR opinion.  It's no more correct than my opinion or Joe Blow on the street.  Then there's the "well these songs have been played live for seven years".  Okay, so you want to scrap those songs?  So Don't Cry, KOHD, Back Off Bitch, for example, those songs shouldn't have appeared on UYI's?

Didn't Best Buy recently make a deal with Napster?  I haven't used Napster ever (or iTunes for that mattter), but I thought they might bypass iTunes and go with Napster.  I guess we'll find out for sure when we get all the details.

So...album coming out. Perhaps Bucket will come back for a tour?

..and Brain.

I truely believe if the new band launch a tour, that both Bucket & Brain will be back. Not so much on Robin though. I really think Ron would be kept on.

I have my doubts Bucket would come back.  I think Robin would be in before him.  Brain is possible.  I really could care less though.  Whoever is taking the stage, as long as there is a stage to be taken, I am THERE!

If anything becomes available, I'll definitely get it, but I'm not gonna listen to any of it until after the record is out there.

I have to assume that within hours of the official announcement, some things will make their way onto the boards.

Yeah I think I'm done downloading any leaks or anything of the sort.  I never bothered with the Best Buy leaks.  We're close enough now, before it wasn't clear that we'd ever get the album so it was a free for all.  Things have changed though.

I think there are plenty of potential hits, but that's just my opinion and what do I know?  Only time will tell if the majority weighs in positively.

#6659 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Starts on Best Buy.com » 871 weeks ago

I know this is a completely different scenario, but when Contraband was released with the 3 different covers that was the only difference right?  There weren't different bonus tracks off each disc, correct?  I bought just the black cover and didn't get any bonus tracks, as far as I know.  Not sure if I would've bought the different versions if there was more to it or not, but I certainly would for GNR.  Of course I hope the incentive is worth it.  Not sure the different packaging alone would do it.  It has been 15 years though, so it might.

#6660 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy potential track listing? » 871 weeks ago

The Rolling Stone article that was on their website earlier today and then taken off mentioned a previously unknown song, "Scraped".  And "Lies They Tell" is listed on this site.

Sorry, I didn't realize "Scraped" was an alternate title for "Lies They Tell".  Apparently it's the same song.
