I love how we get updates from friends of people from Pearl Jam forums these days. Not knocking the source, just a little ridiculous how we have to scrounge for information. Hopefully it's true. Maybe we'll get an announcement after the Best Buy convention finishes up? I don't know why we'd have to wait for that, but who the hell knows?

I think Manning for Hasselbeck is closer than people think. They had similar stats last year. The Colts and Manning are off to a slow start and have lots of injuries to deal with on the O-line/Dallas Clark. Hasselbeck is off to a pretty awful start but he's had nobody to throw to and he gets back both Engram and Branch after the bye. Baskett for Patten, I think Patten is slightly better but neither are major players. Jacobs may be slightly more valuable than Ward, but they're pretty close. D is getting better at QB and WR, but worse at RB. Neemo's getting better at RB and worse at WR. I don't think I have too much of a problem with it, I would give D an advantage in the deal though.
And by the way, I'm right there at 0-3 with you buddy. Misery loves company.

I am sorry but Axl treated Baz like gold, saved his career from reality shows and this is how he shows thanks by still talking about Axl and CD when he was told to be quiet about it? Totally uncool of you Baz.
Baz didn't say Axl told him to shut up about the album, he said he told him to stop saying he's got 4 albums ready to go. And THIS interview was before he was told as such.
Yeah but Bax still sucks ass. I can't wait for the day he just shuts up about Axl and or GNR and or CD.
If Baz never talked about GNR we'd never hear anything about them. They're not exactly lighting up the switchboards these days.

Yeah I'n not sure I'd confirm the new band dead because Fortus is playing in a pop stars backing band for 2 weeks.

I need to get in the win column sometime soon. I need Romo/Peterson/Jennings to start carrying my team. I'm not getting much help elsewhere, so those guys have to start finding the endzone a bit more frequently.

James hit the nail on the head. I've felt for the longest time that there would be no CD tour to support the album.
The theory would be that a GN'R reunion would be marketed as a REUNION with no ties to CD, but the promotion of having CD out with the brand name of "GUNS N' ROSES" on it, would allow it to get the upmost publicity and help juice sales. I wouldn't be shocked if an anthology album of the old band's back catalog were released to be the album that would be backed by the reunion tour, even if CD was out at the same time.
It's not that far fetched imo. I think recent years, and departing band members for other projects have proven there are no future plans for a new GN'R - at all. KISS put out Psycho Circus, which didn't even have Ace or Peter, and yet they were touring as a reunited-KISS.
I just don't see this happening. I hear what you're saying, a reunion would help boost sales, no doubt. But I find it hard to believe that Axl worked on this album for 9+ years to just release it and not tour to promote it or release any singles off it or anything. I mean, it wouldn't make sense to release a single to radio and for them to intro it, "this is from Chinese Democracy, Axl's new band of hired guns, which no longer exists since the old band reunited, and they're not touring to promote the album, and none of the old members are on the album so it's doubtful they'll be playing this live. So why are we playing this song again?"
Sorry if I got carried away there. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Trade I just made in a FFball league:
Westbrook and Andre Johnson for LT, Sproles, Aaron Rodgers (Cassel was my starting QB) and Boldin. My thinking was Westbrook and Johnson are both injury risks and I was buying low on LT while getting an upgrade at QB and an equal (if not better) WR. Thoughts?
That's a steal. How'd that trade even go through? You not only got LT, but you got his backup for insurance. Then Johnson for Boldin is a wash. So basically you got Rodgers AND Sproles for nothing. Is the rest of the league in an uproar over this?

they finished their work...This Azoff guy is after the big dollar....and he will release CD this year, and then get onto a GNR world tour with Slash and Axl on the same stage...
its the only scenario which makes sense business wise....any other alternative is just small business....
I've never been a believer of the whole reunion business, at least not at this point in the game. But I guess it is possible. GNR has become Axl's project with the other parts interchangeable. I'm sure Slash and Duff COULD step in at this point, with Ron, Richard, and Frank staying on. Slash could easily play Robin's parts on the new stuff. I just don't think Axl would agree to such an arrangement. I think he'd try to get Buckethead back first. Plus, I don't believe this story. Tommy's still in as far as I'm concerned.
