Yeah guys, I'd take it easy on Mysteron. I take his comments simply as he has not seen that list to date, he had seen one through Q3, but not for Q4. That's all. I don't think he's saying there's no way CD will be released this year, that list is not to be believed. I don't think that was his intention. Whether you believe the guy or not, like some said he usually gives vague answers and probably for good reason. Even if he knew for sure it was coming out on Nov. 25th do you really think he would come out and tell everyone before the band did? I don't think it's his place to confirm or deny such important information as that.
I really don't know much about his history, if he predicted the 2002 VMA's or not. I've never seen him predict anything in the last couple years. He confirmed Shackler's was a GNR song and would be on Rock Band when lots of people were doubting it. But I don't think he's one of these guys who makes ridiculous predictions on a yearly basis.

Well, this certainly seems like fantastic news. Going along with all the other rumored Nov. 25th release date. What a fabulous holiday season it may be.

Yeah Philly gets Pitt at home next week. Should be another good one. That was a stupid play by DeSean, luckily it didn't hurt as they got the ball at the one and Westbrook rushed it in. I'm sure he got a stern talking to on the sidelines though.
That play probably impacted quite a few fantasy matchups. I had Jackson in one league but my opponent had McNabb so it really didn't make a difference there. In my other league though my opponent had Jackson and I had Westbrook. So advantage me. It still wasn't enough though, I lost by 7 points.

I don't get the "backfire" aspect of this story.
GNR's fanbase has never been smaller and they've never faced a bigger uphill climb then they do now. I don't know anyone outside of these boards who's even heard about this story. It never gets mentioned on rock radio when they play GNR and no one really talks about it.
It's not creating anything other then threads at GNR sites from what I've seen.
Yeah I can't say I've heard it anywhere outside of the GNR community. Maybe we were giving them too much credit comparing it to Metallica/Napster. That was a huge story, this didn't seem to exactly sweep the nation.

Looking at their playlist, this station hasn't played it in quite some time either. Not sure if they were told not to or not, but it hasn't been played in over 12 hours or so. I kind of hope they were told they couldn't play it instead of not playing because of poor reception. If that's the case we could end up waiting another nine years.

Possible. I know everyone is upset that the song isn't out there in any form except on the video game, but maybe there's a reason for that other than Axl isn't confident in the song or wants to "test the waters". It is possible.

Exactly, it's an exclusive for RB2--for now. Like I have said the past four days, GNR knows someone will rip this awesome version from the game, and distribute it. As Azoff has said, they have no problem with that "once it's in the pipeline" which this is, as it's now officially released via the game. The record company is going to get free distribution of this song--think of that, no overhead, and once a good rip is out, this thing will spread like wildfire.
They could also put it on itunes for no overhead, and I would give them a dollar for it. And I'm not buying the game, so there's an extra dollar.
If they put it on iTunes, that completely blows the exclusivity factor out of the water. That's the point here. Maybe that's why it's not being released at the moment. Let Rock Band have their time in the sun before releasing it in another manner.

If you want to watch the games YOU deem most interesting you better get the NFL package on Direct TV or something. Otherwise, you deal with what the networks choose as the national or regional game. Brett Favre vs. the Patriots is a media lovefest. I'm not saying it should be, but that's the way it is.
The inexperienced Cassel is 1-0 so far, beating the legendary and very much experienced Brett Favre. Better start crossing your toes.

I think they know what they are doing--the version on the game is phenomenal--the drums rule--the link below is getting overwhelmed and locking up. Also, something is up, and most likely they are following a contractual agreement with Rock Band--not releasing it (as it is an exclusive) for a week or two. They are going to have to get this out, or are waiting for the fans to get the real version out. The press is holding off, and they are usually on top of these stories, something is holding them back. Patience.
Yeah, call me naive, but I too think there's a reason for the silence and inactivity. It was a coup for Rock Band to get a new GNR song on the game, it's possible they agreed to give them exclusivity to the song for awhile. Not that people are gonna buy the game just for the song, but it's something to help promote the game. Like Axl being on Angel Down, Sebastian kept pushing the fact that the world has been waiting to hear Axl Rose and he's on "my record". Rock Band can say the same thing.

i picked up lamont jordan for a RB though maybe since morris and maroney are playing like shit he'll get a shot next game to be the guy
Jordan ran real well today, a showing the franchise he started with a little something extra. Looks like I'm gonna start 0-2 as well. I've had a pretty decent week, but it's all about the matchups. A bit of a hill to climb from here.
